RugNews.com brings you the best introductions from the leading area rug companies exhibiting at Las Vegas Market.

LAS VEGAS -- RugNews.com headed to Las Vegas Market and stopped by all the major area rug players at the summer 2025 edition.
In this industry exclusive, we discover, as many exhibitors expected, that foot traffic was down, a typical occurrence for summer market.
However, area rug execs reported that big names in furniture retail were indeed in attendance, notably NFM, Bob's Discount Furniture, Jordan's Furniture, Haverty Furniture, RC Willey and Rooms to Go.

What’s more, despite several furniture retailers reporting sales decreases of up to 30 percent, several rug execs noted that other big-name buyers shopping the show included Carpet Exchange, Home Depot, Kohl's, and Wayfair. Plus, many showrooms had designers browsing and selecting area rugs as well.

To entice summer Las Vegas market-goers, area rug participants at Las Vegas Market had plenty of news and new area rugs to present at the summer edition. Many rug exhibitors continue to introduce new collections in constructions and styles that remain popular, as well as adding fresh designs to proven successful collections. Follow RugNews.com in the industry's only comprehensive review of area rugs rolling out in Vegas.

CAPEL

Capel's latest addition to its popular Persia collection includes the Mahal design in onyx.

Among Capel Rugs’ newest intros are the hand-tufted Mesa collection and Rabat, a wool flatweave lineup, both prized for their all-wool composition. Rabat earns a major thumbs up for its modern take on timeless Berber artistry. Another fan favorite is the recently introduced York collection of five neutral toned abstract designs handwoven of wool, and reversible. Transitional and contemporary styles are more popular with west coast buyers at Capel.

The company also adds fresh designs and colors to its successful hand-tufted Persia lineup and its proven hand-knotted Cherise, Ethereal and Vestige collections.

The company expanded its A building showroom at the winter Las Vegas Market, allowing it to add a showstopping entryway that is visible through the entire length of the corridor leading to the showroom entrance.

Chandra continues to focus on textures and details that are difficult to achieve. "We love to play with yarns," said Ravi Tiwari. "We are doing really well with PET: it feels and looks like wool."
The company's Cici collection, hand-woven of wool and cotton with a textured box pattern, is a favorite, as is Albany, woven of PET fibers with a linear motif. Another popular choice is Beccy, a hand-woven collection crafted of wool, jute and cotton.
