Area rug exhibitors highlighted fashion forward rugs at New York Home Fashions Market, presenting new spring trends.
NEW YORK -- The recent New York Home Fashions Market event, March 23-26, in New York City had area rug participants featuring a range of new fashion designs at showrooms around the city's NOMAD district.
Exhibitors rolled out a broad range of value driven rugs that showcased the latest area rug trends, constructions and qualities that were in demand by big box, mass merchant and e-commerce buyers. Top looks continue to include updated traditional patterns reworked in directional color palettes and novel constructions and qualities. Geometrics remain a popular choice in more organic-inspired styles and
classic and contemporary looks executed in everything from tufted wool to ultra plush machine-woven qualities to high-low designs. Florals are fresh and growing, and the cottage look also adds new styles for spring. In addition, abstracts continue to see their next iterations, often adding luxurious shine, texture or metallic accents for a fresh twist.
