NEW YORK -- In addition to its latest machine-woven introductions rolling out at New York Home Fashions Market, running this week, Harounian Rugs International introduced a range of tufteds signaling a return to the category at its 104 W. 29th St. showroom.
"For New York we mostly focused on tufted because of customer demand," Diana Samuels, director of operations, HRI, told RugNews.com. She noted that most of the introductions are woven of mostly wool, but some are also tufted of a wool and polyester blend for durability. There are also cotton and polyester blend designs and an all polyester quality as well. The introductions signal a return to the category, Samuels said, and include all loop piles and cut-and-loop choices.
HRI returns to tufted with the new Ella collection of area rugs, crafted of polyester, and offering geometric and organic
abstract looks.
In addition to presenting the new Ella collection of programed rugs, tufted of polyester, HRI is previewing a range of other tufted qualities and designs including Westwood, tufted of wool; and Vini, an all-loop polyester tufted lineup. It also is previewing samples from two higher-end collections, Roya, a cut and loop collection tufted of wool, and Delano, crafted of wool and shiny polyester.
HRI previewed its Vini collection of polyester cross loop tufted rugs available in multiple trend-forward colorways.
