Rug showrooms introduced fashion-driven designs for fall High Point Market.
HIGH POINT, N.C. -- The final event of the fall area rug show circuit, the October High Point Market, showcased the major design trends expected to continue to be customer favorites as the industry looks ahead to 2027.
Color palettes remain focused on earthy neutrals, however green tones and rusty shades remain in demand. Blue is witnessing a comeback and several debuts showcased contemporary navy tones alongside softer powder palettes.
The styles on offer continue to showcase updated traditional Persian-inspired designs in trending palettes and high-texture neutrals. Moroccan influences were seen across the High Point Campus with some rug exhibitors taking a more understated approach to the genre while others preferred to use the category to showcase vibrantly colored collections.
Geometrics proved a big draw this fall and ranged from more globally styled designs to tailored and classic looks including easy to decorate with box patterns, menswear-inspired motifs and simple open field border collections.
In this special two-part High Point Market review, RugNews.com continues to feature the market's favorite rugs and newsmakers.
