HIGH POINT, N.C. — With its prominent location on the ground floor of the International Home Furnishings Center, Nourison’s showroom buzzed with activity during the recent High Point Market. Between custom options, one-of-a-kinds, and programmed lines ranging from entry-level machine-mades to high-end hand-knotteds, the showroom was a one-stop shop for High Point buyers.
Alex Peykar, principal, said Nourison started the year with double-digit growth and while he does expect full-year results to be more modest growth, he says the company's ability to offer rugs across budgets and weaves continues to be a major factor in its success.
"Overall, I am happy about the business," Peykar said. "We continue to create products that are unique and different, and more than ever before, we are coming up with fashion products with a perceived value, which is a key."
