Rug exhibitors head to winter Las Vegas Market featuring their latest trend-driven designs.
LAS VEGAS – Competing with what is predicted to be the largest winter storm in a decade, Las Vegas Market opens Sunday, Jan. 25, with a full roster of area rug exhibitors showcasing their newest offerings for 2026. Market shoppers can expect to see refined styling and advanced weaving techniques elevating the category in quality and fashion at a range of price points.
Among the top looks are solid colored high-low designs, with ivory and beige leading, and palettes of deep greens and earth tones continuing to appear in textural and patterned products. The updated traditional category is strengthening with designs and colorways that give a designer look that will ground transitional as well as classic rooms.
Buyers will find multiple weaves and constructions to choose from this winter, from affordably priced washable rugs to approachable hand-tufted designs to heirloom-quality hand-knotteds.

Capel anticipates a strong start to Q1 2026 heading to Las Vegas. "With Surfaces being aligned with Vegas Market, I expect attendance will be up as those retailers that shop that market will pop over to the Design Center," Cameron Capel told RugNews.com.
The company expects that its most popular High Point Market introductions, on view in Vegas for the first time, will also resonate with Vegas shoppers, who will be able to enter the company's popular Rugsy, giveaway.
New collections include Manor, a selection of heritage motifs -- Persian florals, architectural borders and faded medallions -- crafted in India from 80 percent wool and 20 percent nylon, woven with precision machine technology. The nature inspired colors of the all-wool hand-tufted Abacos features high-low irregular shapes, ideal for shoppers seeking modern organic or biomorphic design styles. The Jacquard-loomed Antissa collection is inspired by the landscapes and ancient ruins of Aegean towns, and is crafted in India, Finally, Ives, machine-woven in India offers abstract looks, with subtle sheen and textured pile, and showcases a fluid interplay of cool silver and warm gold hues.

Heading to Las Vegas Market, Couristan will focus on its natural wool program -- a rug category the company has been focusing on in recent markets. Among the showcased collections is Lucknow, hand-dotted of wool and offering traditional Kazak designs in muted tones for an antique look. Available sizes include 6x9, 8x10, 9x12 and 10x14. As a counterpoint the company's high-quality machine woven Cadiz collection offers contemporary geometric designs. Cadiz is machine-woven of pure space-dyed wool and finished by hand. Available sizes are 5’6”x 8’6”, 7’6” x 9’6”, 8’6”x 11’6”, 9’10” x 12’6”, 2’x 7’6” runner. "This is becoming a very popular category for rugs and reactions have been phenomenal," Larry Mahurter told RugNews.com.
The company will also present its latest broadloom additions at the concurrent The International Surfaces Event, where it is rolling out a broad range of trend-driven collections, from classic plaids and stripes to contemporary styles in designer favorite colors. Couristan will host a special TISE cocktail hour on Jan. 27 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in celebration of the company's 100 year anniversary.

Karastan expects a large turnout at this year's winter market. "The outlook for the coming year is decidedly optimistic," reports Craig Trimble, Karastan VP sales. "With several new product introductions scheduled for early 2026, we are confident in our ability to capture renewed consumer interest. Fresh designs, expanded collections, and strategic placement in key retail channels are expected to drive growth.”
Highlights include additions to Forsyth Park, machine-tufted in India of polyester and wool, a balance of softness and durability, offering a range of textured geometric motifs in warm neutral tones. The new Mythic collection, hand-loomed in India from a luxurious blend of wool, rayon and polyester fibers, features abstract designs with subtle sheen and soft texture. Other notable intros include the vintage classic patterns of hand-knotted Sundar collection, crafted of 80 percent wool and 20 percent viscose, and Cantada, hand-tufted, with a high-low cut and loop pile techniques, and offering an abstract striped design.

Kas will continue to feature retailer- and designer-focused rugs at Las Vegas Market's Expo Center. Market-goers can expect on-trend designs in both handmade and machine-woven constructions. New introductions heading to Vegas include additions to the Darcy collection, including Darcy Verde, a fresh interpretation in a trending green hue, alongside Darcy Ivory/Gray Landscape and Darcy 2509 ivory/sand Sedona. The Scandinavian-inspired Darcy collection is hand knotted in India using premium New Zealand wool, offering subtle patterning and a soft, neutral color story. Kas' Denali collection of high-low designs was a hit since its introduction last year and gets a winter line extension. The new power-loomed Portia collection, crafted in Turkey from high-quality polyester, features a smooth 1/4-inch pile height and a refined, velvety sheen. This collection offers understated traditional patterns in directional palettes.

"We expect winter market attendees to be focused on craftsmanship and lasting quality, which continues to guide everything we create,” said Cyrus Loloi. “With 25 new rug collections and more than 100 new pillows debuting for 2026, we’re entering the season optimistic about a strong response from the Trade.” Loloi introduces the Nara collection of modern geometric area rugs hand-knotted of rayon, wool and cotton in India. The line features asymmetrical linear patterns in muted earth tones for a casual, organic feel and is GoodWeave-certified.
Seven collections debuting at last Fall’s HPMKT will be presented for the first time in Vegas: the hand-knotted Beckham collection woven of space-dyed wool with a high-low construction; the traditional-styled power-loomed Briar collection; the hand-tufted Leora lineup, which offers a two toned floral pattern; the hand-woven Mallory collection, which features a multi-texture pile; Maren, a handmade area rug made with a new technique that creates a dotted texture with a substantial, hand-loomed feel; the indoor-outdoor Saylor collection; and Valentina, a brand new construction from Loloi, crafted with a unique hand-woven process in which the designs are embroidered on top of the woven rug.

For Las Vegas Market attendees, some of whom are expected to simultaneously shop The International Surfaces Event, Nourison roles out trend-forward new area rugs as well as a full slate of new broadloom options across its various brands.
Newness in rugs includes the Nourison Home Ravello collection of softly colored vintage-inspired designs in a refined ivory and gray palette in pure wool. The Azure collection, featuring an understated borderless diamond pattern, is hand-woven of mostly wool, and the brand's new elegant Strata lineup, with its neutral colors and subtle linear textured pattern, is hand-woven of wool.
Finally, the company continues to grow its program alongside the DKNY license adding new green and navy colorways to a flowing Central Park West collection design.
