JD Staron Wins IFDA's ICFF Best In Flooring Award, Debuts New Licensed Rug Programs

Luxury bespoke area rug studio JD Staron was awarded the IFDA Selects' ICFF Best In Flooring Award at the 2022 International Contemporary Furnishings Fair.

NEW YORK -- JD Staron, a luxury custom area rug studio, took home the IFDA Selects award ICFF Best In Flooring at the spring 2022 International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Javits Center.

The custom rug atelier showcased its latest designs at its booth, and among the debuts were its new Brushstrokes collection, as well as two new licensed programs alongside Very Gay Paint and Interior Collab.


Jakub Staron, owner and designer, JD Staron, designed several of the area rugs featured at the ICFF booth.

The VGP x JDS collection of area rugs features the clean and playful geometric motifs created by Very Gay Paint, a popular mural studio founded by LA comedians Nicholas Scheppard and Jenson Titus during the pandemic.

JD Staron also introduced its Interior Collab Capsule 1: Shadow Play collection created by Interior Collab, a not-for-profit collaborative of qualified interior designers, architects and decorators. The inaugural assortment features designs submitted by members and that tell a story about light and shadows, and the transition from dark to light.
