DALLAS -- Feizy Rug Company, a leading manufacturer and importer of fine area rugs, announces the appointment of Cameron Feizy as chief executive officer and managing partner, effective immediately. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s 53-year legacy as it transitions leadership to the second generation of the Feizy family.
Succession plans had been underway and finalized under the direction of founder and industry icon John Feizy, who died on July 13, 2025, and led the company since its inception in 1973. His wife Janice will serve as chairman of the Feizy Family Board, alongside their children Cameron and Leah Feizy (who will continue to oversee the company’s financial operations).
“After 53 years in the business, it’s about time to step back and have the next generation step up,” John Feizy said in a statement earlier this month. “Cameron has my full confidence to lead Feizy Rugs into the future. His deep understanding of the industry, unwavering commitment to our customers, and passion for design and innovation make him uniquely qualified to carry the company forward.”
