Rug showrooms across High Point showcased a range of trend right designs for fall shoppers.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Area rug showrooms across the High Point campus featured top design trends expected to continue to win in 2026.

Bestsellers included everything from ivory colored high-low natural wool styles to the latest iterations of abstract designs, which continue to be a favorite, to updated traditional looks in both neutral subtle palettes and more saturated tones.

What's more licensed partners showed up at events at rug showrooms throughout market to roll out their latest rugs -- all of which offered market-goers on-trend designs with a designer approved point of view.

In Part 2 of this comprehensive rug showroom tour RugNews.com continues to suss out what were the market winners heading into 2026.

LAVIN

Lavin grows its handcrafted wool lineup with the new Contempo collection.

Lavin continues to establish its presence with new offerings. In its Tamara Day collection under the Natural Luxe designation, a new handwoven wool/cotton rug has a nubby, thick weave in neutrals like grey and ecru. A jute and cotton handwoven rug has a herringbone weave that accentuates the sheen of jute tinted with subtle tones of purple or green. In Laid Back Luxe, a handwoven rug combines cotton with PET yarn for a durable indoor-only rug that’s stain resistant, pet friendly, and good for high traffic. Wide stripes alternate sheared bands of color with a basketweave construction. Another rug in Laid Back Luxe is a hand-tufted wool and cotton blend with geometric influences, such as concentric squares.

In Lavin’s main line, a top seller is Deya, a handwoven rug of jute and cotton with a pattern reminiscent of mosaic tiles. And Contempo, a hand-tufted wool and cotton blend features a variety of motifs, from abstract triangles to organic lines meandering over a ground of narrow stripes.

LIORA MANNE

Saturated colors, painterly brushstroke designs and abstract expressionism inform the new Atelier collection from Liora Manne.

Liora Manne's InterHall booth featured the debuting Atelier collection, capturing the essence of painterly canvases and abstract expression. The lineup was crafted in Manne's signature Lamontage (hand-felted, needle-punched textiles) technique as floor coverings and wall textiles, complemented by samples of coordinating Lush hand-tufted rug samples.

Atelier highlights Include: Bowery Multi (pictured above on the booth's floor) a bold interplay of vibrant magenta, rust, and teal tones; Floating Flowers Blue, a painterly explosion of florals cascading across a rich blue ground; and Impasto Lake, a fluid composition of layered blues and greens, inspired by the movement of water and painterly depth.

LOLOI

Leanne Ford x Loloi debuts in High Point with warm, earthy tones and lots of texture. Shown, Sowerby

Loloi’s showroom was buzzing with the excitement for its newest design partner, interior designer and television personality Leanne Ford. She hit the ground running with a collection of handmade rugs predominantly woven in wool and jute. The collection spans multiple styles, ranging from Midcentury to modern to traditional, and includes two designs exclusive to the trade.

In the company’s Chris Loves Julia x Loloi collection, new options include Rue, made of a soft jute and poly blend, with a repeated pattern of stylized florals inspired by block printed textiles. Alfie is hand tufted of 100 percent wool, with earthy colors and simple patterns, such as concentric striped borders and dotted rows. Calvin, also part of Chris Loves Julia x Loloi, plays on the checked pattern and is power-loomed of polyester and polypropylene.

New from Brigette Romanek x Loloi is Romi, hand tufted of wool in a popular contemporary dragon design, and the hand-tufted Madi, featuring bold checks, stripes, and chevrons in contrasting colors in the woven motifs. Monterrey, also hand-woven wool pile, offers a texture story with a flatwoven base and twisted soumak weave.

LR HOME

LR Home updates the traditional Oushak with a Bohemian vibe and pastel palette in the hand-tufted wool Elize collection.

Seeing an increased customer interest in handmade rugs, the newest designs from LR Home focus on this category. One highlight is Elize, hand-tufted of New Zealand wool and a palette of soft pastels in a bordered stylized Oushak pattern. Caitlin offers a more traditional look, with an ornate border and a vine design.

Houston, handwoven of 100 percent New Zealand wool, is a cut and loop pile weave in a tone-on-tone checkerboard motif accented with stripes. The subtle motif offers an organic transitional anchor to myriad design schemes. Another handwoven offering, Norwood, offers lots of texture with a cut and loop pile woven into organic stripes. And Burke, hand tufted of 100 percent wool offers the abstract look with carved detail and artful colorways.

MOMENI

Momeni's new Lily collection was a market favorite for its updated plaid motif in soft pastels.

Momeni continues to grow its best-selling collections, building on proven winners in the marketplace, and also introducing trend-forward area rug collections. Among the debuts that scored big is Maritime, hand-woven of jute, and offering a concentric box design in trending colors such as brown, ivory, natural, green and blue. Another debut, Jango features a simple casual stripe design, hand-woven of mostly jute and cotton, with grounds in colors such rust, olive, ivory and soft blue. The new scallop-edged Lily, offering a plaid motif, in colorways such as pink, green, blue or yellow, earned a big thumbs up, and designer Erin Gates' hand-tufted Abbott has been a hit.

The new indoor-outdoor Caicos collection, handwoven of PET yarn, and latest addition to the Novogratz Icon collection, Cabana Stripe, both were snapped up. Finally, Momeni Basics expands its popular foundational Charles collection, hand tufted of wool, with a high-low ribbed design in trending colors such as soft cool blue, sage green and brown.

NATCO HOME

Natco's latest Cozy & Plush lineup adds the US-made Acadia, featuring a new creel that offers richer colors.

The big news in the Natco Home showroom was the introduction of the first licensed rugs from Ben & Erin Napier, the co-hosts of HGTV's Home Town. The husband and wife duo, who support domestically crafted home products, required that the rugs in the program be made in America, and the new line from Natco is manufactured at its Maine facility. The debut rugs feature cottage motifs with plenty of florals and plaids. A hit was the program's Adley collection, which introduces a new creel the company developed because customers had been requesting more color. These machine-woven rugs, crafted of polypropylene and shrink poly and part of Natco's Cozy & Plush lineup, offer a range of designs from florals to plaids in deep saturated colors including teals, blues and green. A Ben & Erin design from the Biloxi collection, a floral in a warm apricot colorway, also earned a thumbs up.

Other hits in the showroom were a richly hued abstract design in the new Acadia collection, a plush lineup with high-low patterns in the same creel as Adley and also made in the US. And finally, the new Stratton, also part of Plush & Cozy, had several abstract designs that resonated with market-goers. Stratton rugs blend soft fine denier frieze polypropylene and heat shrink polyester for high-low effect, rendered in warm neutral colors.

These rugs are made from a premium mix of New Zealand wool, viscose and nylon, and feature a subtle sheen and hand-carved detailing. For designers and retailers seeking richly colored updated traditional designs the recently introduced Antique Bloom collection, machine-woven of 80 percent wool and 20 percent nylon, was a favorite. OBEETEE

The Tuscany collection’s Neeman in beige featuring a repetitive design scored with HPMKT buyers at Obeetee.

Obeetee reported a strong market and continued to focus its introductions on better-best handmade rugs. Updated traditional patterns remained a popular choice as did large scale florals and more romantic styles. The company's hand-knotted Tuscany collection of classic designs was a hit at market especially its repetitive designs including Neeman in beige. The collection also includes saturated colorful patterns such as a medallion pattern in brick red.

The hand-tufted Reverie collection of classic looks in contemporary palettes earned a thumbs up, as did a panel-inspired motif from the tufted Timeless collection in blue. The new Nomad collection offers understated geometric patterns in two-tone designs featuring ivory and warm earthy colors such as sand and brown. And buyers were interested in Obeetee's latest contemporary floral designs, notably from the Delilah collection which offers an oversized floral arrangement in earthy colors with greens.

Contemporary florals were a market hit and Obeetee’s Delilah collection fit the bill with several buyer favorites.

ORIENTAL WEAVERS

The Legacy collection was a market winner at OW for its striking classic designs in fresh fashion colors. Shown, LYG02

The big hits at the OW showroom were its new Legacy collection of classic rug designs woven on an Axminster loom with an exposed weft. These rugs are crafted of space-dyed wool and nylon in a trending saturated jewel tone color palette. Rolling out with 12 designs, woven in Egypt, these rugs feature a vintage hand-knotted styling with a zero-pile height and incorporated fringe. The debuting Branigan collection of eight abstract patterns is cross woven of 100 percent polyester with added shrink yarn. The collection has a luxuriously soft hand and high-low texture and a neutral palette blending cool ivory and soft gray with earthy brown and brushed gold.

In addition, Oriental Weavers added new designs to its Andorra collection, among the company's best-selling lineups, and its latest green toned floral patterns were right on point.

For buyers kicking off their outdoor assortments for 2026, OW's indoor-outdoor Zarina collection of-brown-toned tribal designs was a hit for not only its styling and quality, but budget-friendly price tag.

S&H RUGS

Ancient weaving techniques by artisans in Jaipur, India, take a modern turn with this showstopping transitional design
in chic brown tones at the S&H Rugs stand.

S&H Rugs unveiled its newest lineup of intricately woven hand-knotted rugs at its Suites at Market Square space, with several hanging pieces drawing shoppers into the booth. One of the standouts from S&H’s high-end handmade assortment is a design woven in India by Jaipur artisans. In a color palette that is predominantly brown with accents of rust and green, the rug is influenced by the traditions of Khotan and Samarkand weaving. Elaborate double borders of interwoven flowers and vines rim a center of rich, dimensional brown with a scattered pattern. The zero-pile rug has the feel of an instant heirloom.

Other styles included updated classic geometrics and refreshed Bijar Garus garden designs in popular designer colors, and a range of biophilic designs including several charming bird motifs and densely woven Chinese Deco styles. The company also casts the spotlight on its latest abstract designs as well as the newest additions to its Plain, Solid Pattern lineup with the introduction of several richly colored, plush and dense solid designs.

SOUTHWEST LOOMS

San Mateo brings southwest style to the high-end luxury category for designers in a 100-knot Tibetan weave.

Southwest Looms showcases not only its popular Pendleton licensed collection, but also some of its own designs that take cues from the iconic Arts and Crafts movement. Its McMurdoch pattern, for instance, was designed based on a tile which the company’s founder, Douglas Lay, found in Mexico. And the company’s best-selling runner, a beautiful design called Stained Glass Green, is rendered in jewel tones with black lines mimicking the leading in stained glass windows.

The company is building a collection inspired by Southwest pottery, with names drawn from townships in Northern New Mexico. San Mateo is a 100-knot Tibetan weave, an intricate mirror-image pattern rendered in black, grey, cream and brown. And Black Hills is a bold pattern of grey, black, cream, and terra cotta. Both prominently displayed, these designs drew crowds into the company’s Suites at Market Square booth.

SUYRA

Surya introduces its new partnership with Citizen Artist, a cross-category program. Pictured is the Pilgrimage rug collection.

Surya's inspirational Showplace showroom was teaming with market attendees shopping the company's latest area rug introductions, as well as its growing collection of furnishings, for the indoors and out, lighting and accessories. Surya had all the top rug design trends covered showcasing a range of styles from hand-knotted updated traditional to foundational solids in trend-forward colors to textured tonals and a range of statement-making florals and abstracts. Each style category was presented in Surya's good, better, best constructions.

Among the updated traditional favorites were new green-toned designs added to the popular hand-knotted Normandy collection and a richly textured green medallion design from the hand-knotted Savannah lineup. The just-introduced hand-knotted Picasso lineup was also a favorite for its updated traditional designs. The new Malayer collection, hand knotted from 100 percent recycled garment silk, offers two soft earthy colored updated traditional motifs, and Agra, hand-knotted of wool, reworks traditional Persian motifs in soft warm hues.

Featured with prime placement was the company's new licensed cross-category program with design studio Citizen Artist. The Pilgrimage collection from the Citizen Artist series, features understated globally-inspired geometric motifs hand-knotted of 94 percent wool and 6 percent Tencel.

TAMARIAN

Decora, Tamarian’s opulent interpretation of Mission style, is hand woven in Nepal of wool and silk with accents of hemp.

Among the standouts in the Tamarian Showroom was Morton, a transitional rug of stylized botanicals rendered in a beige and brown pattern on a blue ground. The wool rug is woven in the company’s own Naga Weave technique. Monroe, also exemplifying the Naga Weave, features a repeated oversized medallion pattern in creamy neutrals offset by a saturated dark blue. Piovana, a rug that got a glowing reception when shown at the New York show, features an abstract painterly look in green, blue, and cream. Also highlighted was Veiled, one of the company’s top selling patterns, here in a white and taupe colorway that highlighted the distressed abstract pattern in wool and silk. Another rug collection, Decora, has an evident Mission influence, with oversized block shapes in green or mink brown colorways on a taupe ground. A black outline and carving give the pattern definition. The 100-knot rugs are woven in wool and silk with hemp accents.
