Retailers and designers turn out to shop rugs at the Winter Las Vegas Market.

LAS VEGAS -- One of the more upbeat Las Vegas Markets in recent years, the January 2026 edition defied the odds of a major snow event across more than half the country and ended with positive projections for rug sales in the year ahead. Many scheduled attendees ended up rebooking travel so that they could avoid the disruptions of the major storm hitting a large swathe of the US, thus minimizing what could have been a rash of appointment cancellations. What's more, The International Surfaces Event ran the same week as LVMKT, resulting in a positive for rug exhibitors at World Market Center.

Call it the year of fashion contrasts – ivory and neutral rugs were strong sellers, but buyers also favored warm, bold colors. Abstract and updated Persian designs continue to score high on buyers’ shopping lists, but solids are surging in popularity, albeit with earthy natural yarns and textures. Rug buyers continue to seek out plush and dense qualities, and had a wide selection of choices, from luscious handmade rugs crafted of luxurious wools to more budget friendly easy-care machine-made options. Rug showrooms once devoted almost exclusively to machine-made are growing their handmade offerings and luxury rug makers are dipping their toes in high-end machine-woven rugs using natural fiber yarns to differentiate themselves from volume producers.

RugNews.com shopped all three World Market Center buildings as well as the Expo Center to bring you this exclusive report on what’s new and next.

CAPEL

The big draw at Capel was its new Manor collection, which includes Persian florals, architectural borders and faded medallions. Rugs are machine-woven in India of 80 percent wool and 20 percent nylon, and Manor’s green colorway was a buyer favorite. Market shoppers also favored the Antissa 5000 collection Jacquard-loomed in India of 50/50 wool and viscose. Textural and featuring a subtle sheen, these rugs exude an organic opulence.

Another market winner was Ashford, hand-knotted of wool in India and showcased in fashion colors such as jade, lapis and a classic multi-color design. The machine-woven Ives debut also generated excitement for abstract looks with subtle sheen and textured pile, and for its fluid interplay of cool silver and warm gold hues.

Couristan showcased its newest handmade collections alongside its high-end machine-woven rugs and latest indoor-outdoor collections. The newest additions to the hand-knotted Elysian collection of updated traditional patterns were a hit for their high-low motifs executed in an Oushak weave in rich warm tones. Another hand-knotted favorite hails from Utopia, which also updates classic patterns, however the palette for these rugs features trending neutrals. The Circa collection, hand-tufted Sumac look wool rugs, was a hit with buyers seeking more moderate price points and neutrally toned linear and geometric patterns.

On the machine-made side, Couristan presented its Sambal and Cadiz collections, both high-quality woven of pure space-dyed wool and finished by hand. Sambal offers traditional patterns, while Cadiz features contemporary styles. Indoor-outdoor options were also sought after, and Couristan's line extension to the popular Dolce collection earned thumbs up for its colorful fresh designs.

Among retailer favorites were the Vico collection with nine designs in seven colors, all woven in the US of polyester. Amara is part of the Luxury Washables lineup, woven of Dalyn’s microfiber yarn, and the Nexus collection of modern designs features a tight clean construction. Also launching is Aristo, a line of traditional motifs. These washable rugs are woven with a polyester pile and cotton foundation.

Other introductions that garnered attention were the richly colored dramatic updated-traditional designs of Atlanta, power-loomed in Turkey of space-dyed polyester. The more neutral high-low classic patterns of Santana, and the worn looks of Pandora also ticked the box.

FEIZY

Feizy presented its new Fontana collection of hand-knotted updated traditional designs.

Bolstering its position as a go-to source for designer rugs, Feizy focused its newest introductions on luxury and exclusive design in a broad assortment of weaves and styles. Fontana, hand-knotted of high-quality wool with oxidized finish, features muted colorways such as beige, ivory and gray for designer interiors. The debuting Springfield collection, hand-tufted of wool, brings a fresh edge to traditional rug patterns and a luxury look. Ahead of the fashion curve, Jameson collection rugs are Feizy’s answer to designer requests for on-trend solids. Machine-woven of polypropylene in a plush, dense construction, these rugs are offered in neutral active solids, with cream and pale tones most popular with market shoppers.

For a more dramatic statement, Feizy introduces the Anica collection, hand-tufted of wool and offering high-low Moroccan inspired geometric designs in a natural palette of ivory and soft earth tones. Designers favoring the opposite end of the color spectrum gave thumbs up to the solid color ultra plush designs of the new Tula lineup’s range of colors from olive, navy, dark gray and chocolate to bolder statements such as white, rust and mauve.

The company continues to push the design envelop with wool pile rugs hand-tufted in India, introducing new transitional and contemporary designs to its popular Concord and Tango collections. The Davenport collection, woven in a high-low texture of space-dyed wool, earned a thumbs up, especially in the new mineral colorway. Kalaty’s showroom was filled with new designs on view for the first time at Las Vegas Market. Some of the showstoppers proved to be the company’s latest hand-knotted contemporary abstract designs from the Infinity and Himalaya collections, both woven of premium hand-spun wool, and the Lydian collection, crafted of natural silk. For shoppers seeking updated traditional styles, the new richly colored addition to the Lyra collection, hand-knotted of premium hand-spun wool with a zero pile, was an attention-grabber, as were the latest styles added to the company's popular Soumak collection of reversible designs, hand-knotted of 100 percent premium wool yarns in a unique herringbone texture.

Buyers seeking solid neutrals with textured rib designs turned to two debuts in the handcrafted Lori-Loom lineup: the 100 percent silk Drift collection, and the premium wool Flex range. Kalaty's newest Luxe-Weave additions, which are machine-woven and finished by hand, drew attention as well. The successful Blooma collection's newest Oushak-inspired additions, machine-woven of premium wool, continue to be a favorite. Many of the big hits in the Karastan showroom were new additions to its handmade wool lineup, as well as premium machine-made collections including the latest indoor-outdoor designs. The Sundar collection of reimagined traditional designs remains a top choice for buyers seeking luxurious hand-knotted pieces. It is handcrafted in India of a luxurious blend of New Zealand wool and Mongolian wool. Requests for solids continue to roll in and Karastan's hand-knotted Hudson collection, woven in a cashmere blend with a sumptuous pile, was a favorite. In addition, more moderately priced pieces, including additions to Forsythe Park tufted of a premium blend of natural wool and polyester, remain a bestseller.

On the machine-woven side, Persepolis's newest geometric styles in softly muted color palettes were a top choice. Woven in Turkey from premium polyester to emulate the look of hand-knotted rugs, each piece offers an ultra-soft feel and exceptional color clarity. The textured solid-colored Cantanda collection, machine-tufted in India of mostly wool and viscose continues to grow in popularity at Vegas. Finally, for shoppers of high-quality indoor-outdoor rugs, the Gulfport collection's geometric striped R1470 in navy is a major hit. It is flatwoven from polyester in India.

Karastan's popular machine-woven Persepolis collection's new Minya in brown was a market favorite.

LOLOI

Loloi's Maren collection ticked the box for designers seeking understated contemporary neutral rugs.

Loloi showed off its machine weaving artistry with the Las Vegas Market debut of the Milena collection, power-loomed of 100 percent polyester pile. The new rugs feature updated traditional patterns in fashion tones of sage or denim, plus fresh neutral colorways. The company introduced market shoppers to the Nara collection of modern geometric area rugs hand-knotted of rayon, wool and cotton in asymmetrical linear patterns in muted earth tones. Another understated line of high-low solids featuring warm neutral tones and geometric designs, Maren, hand-loomed of mostly wool and polyester, also proved a favorite at market.

Licensed rug hits with buyers were Dorothea from the Chris & Julia x Loloi program in hand-tufted wool pile, and Brigitte Romanek’s  textured geometric Madi collection, also hand-tufted of wool. The company also showcased six additional High Point intros for West Coast shoppers, in weaves from hand-woven to power-loomed.

Loloi's hand-tufted Dorthea collection from the Chris & Julia licensed program was a hit for its neutral, textured traditional
styles.

NATCO

The Erin & Ben Co. licensed collection from Natco Home continues to gain momentum and buyers' top choice was this floral design
from their Tupelo quality.

Natco focused winter Las Vegas Market on its domestic production, notably the new Erin & Ben Co. licensed collection and its Cozy & Plush lineup. Erin & Ben Co. includes four qualities: Adley, Grove, Rooted and Tupelo -- all in trend-forward palettes and crafted of polypropylene with several designs adding heat-shrink polyester to the mix for added texture. Adley and Grove offer a plusher pile also seen in Natco's Cozy & Plush Series. Much of the program features cottage-inspired looks (a market favorite) and geometric styles in rich colors, something retailers have been requesting.

Natco also continues to respond to retailer requests is for thicker piles and softer yarns with the domestically made Natco brand Cozy & Plush series, which includes Acadia, Oklahoma, Stonington and Structures. Rugs are woven of soft, thick polypropylene with shrink yarn for added texture and depth. Each collection features a different creel, expanding on the success of Structures, the first collection in the series. Buyers continue to turn to the successful plush Stonington collection, woven of ultra-soft fine denier polypropylene and heat-shrink polyester, to update their inventories. They are also giving a major thumbs up to the recently introduced Acadia lineup.

A high-texture, plush abstract design added to Natco's Structures Cozy & Plush series was a Las Vegas Market hit.

NOURISON

Nourison's showcased its Brushlight collection, a neutral-toned alternative to its best-selling boldly colored Prismatic collection.

Nourison's Vegas introductions focused on material-driven design, versatile applications, and a refined mix of statement and foundational styles across rugs, broadloom, home accents, and custom solutions. Among the showcased introductions were Ravello, a hand-loomed lineup of updated subtle high-low neutral-toned traditional patterns crafted of pure wool. Another showcased new introduction, also hand-loomed, is the solid colored, textural Strata collection, made of a wool blend. Azure caters to the popular geometric design trend, offering textured weave and classic lattice patterns woven of 74 percent wool and 26 percent polyester. Lastly, major play was given to the company's recently introduced Brushlight lineup, which serves as a neutral counterpoint to Nourison's best-selling Prismatic lineup.

From Nourison Home's Licensed programs, the newest addition to the DKNY Pure collection, Cord, was a hit for its striated texture hand-woven of wool and jute. For retailers and designers seeking bolder designs, the latest addition to Calvin Klein Drift earned a thumbs up. This collection offers abstract tonal crosshatch patterns in today's best-selling neutrals, crafted of easy-care polyester.

ORIENTAL WEAVERS

OW's hit Cavett collection adds a range of new designs and this abstract (CAV09) earned top billing.

Oriental Weavers’ showroom was bustling with retailers when RugNews visited on Monday afternoon, and execs reported strong traffic for nearly a week. Buyers were first to see the initial rollout of OW’s 2026 introductions, including new collections Warner and Wonder, and line extensions to the Atlas and Cavett collections.

The Atlas collection showcases a beautiful blend of lustrous and matte yarns. The combination of polypropylene and nylon creates simplified textures in eight new tonal rugs in classic and fashion neutrals. The Warner collection highlights the expressive artistry of space-dyed wool and nylon in beautifully understated border designs. Pared down patterns meet richly saturated and earthy jewel tones, resulting in a minimalistic, yet powerfully dynamic, aesthetic. Expertly woven on an Axminster loom, Warner delivers exceptional durability and precision while achieving the elegant, hand-knotted appearance of zero-pile construction.  Finally, the Wonder collection features sculptural carving and dimensional geometric patterns, expressed in a neutral range of shades from light cool gray to deep warm brown. Machine-woven from ultra-soft polypropylene, each durable Wonder rug offers a luxurious hand. Its dense, high-pile construction is intricately carved to enhance depth and texture, creating visually striking modern designs.

The high-quality Axminster-woven Warner collection was a hit for its earthy colors, textures and simple design.

Surya area rugs were a draw for designers shopping the company’s Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams and Global Views showrooms at Las Vegas Market. Among the most popular were casual, hand-crafted styles such as those from Citizen Artist x Surya, including the top-selling Pilgrimage lineup, hand-knotted of 96 percent wool and 4 percent Tencel.

Another collection of neutral-toned geometric motifs, Riviera, hand-knotted of New Zealand wool and cotton, also resonated with buyers. Surya's new Malayer collection of updated traditional designs hand-knotted of recycled silk scored with Vegas shoppers, as did the traditional patterns of the Hillcrest collection, hand-knotted of New Zealand wool. Another bestseller, the Arte collection, knotted of 60 percent wool and 40 viscose, once again earned kudos from rug shoppers.
