and fashion palette.

LAS VEGAS -- Surya Inc. -- the parent company of designer labels Surya, Global Views, Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams -- has created one-stop home furnishings shop at World Market Center for designers browsing its lineup, including Surya branded area rugs located at A154.
Surya's return to Las Vegas Market, in a space shared with the MG + BW and adjacent to the Global Views space, allows the company to feature its new designer-focused introductions alongside best-selling luxury rugs.

Satya Tiwari, president, Surya Inc., said, “Bringing together three industry-leading brands under one roof creates an unmatched destination for designers — making it easier than ever to source everything from foundational furnishings to statement pieces, custom upholstery and now rugs, all in one place. It’s a reflection of our shared mission to simplify the sourcing process and support designers at every stage of their projects.”

For West Coast shoppers, Surya's hand-knotted and handcrafted rugs prevail in a range of updated traditional looks and contemporary styles. And the Surya showroom, open year-round as part of the Las Vegas Design Center in Building A, was busy with clients browsing its rug assortment.

Among the showcased introductions is the Citizen Artist x Surya program, which was previewed at fall High Point Market. The program’s Pilgrimage design is hand-knotted of 96 percent wool and 4 percent Tencel and resonated with buyers seeking understated motifs in fashion-forward neutrals. Designers also continue to approve of abstract patterns with luminous accents and Surya's new handcrafted Georgetown lineup of abstract patterns (55 percent wool, 35 percent viscose and 10 percent nylon) resonated with designers for its textured motifs and fashion-forward colors. Likewise, luxury shoppers continue to turn to the best-selling Arte lineup, knotted of 60 percent wool and 40 viscose, which continues to earn a major thumbs up with market-attendees.

Surya's new hand-crafted Georgetown features the shimmering abstract styling that remains popular with design clients.

Also in demand at the Surya showroom are the company's hand-knotted updated traditional patterns. A hit with designers was Surya's new Malayer collection of updated traditional designs hand-knotted of recycled silk. Buyers appreciated its luxurious hand and warm color palette.  With designers turning to tried-and-true favorites, such as the traditional patterns of the Hillcrest collection, hand-knotted of New Zealand wool, design HIL-9017 an updated Oushak-inspired border pattern with ground in dusty sage, is a bestseller. The fringed rugs have a lustrous sheen and receive an antique wash imparting a timeworn look.
