HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Nourison's Alex Peykar makes history as the area rug industry's first member of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame, and his induction kicked off with the Hall of Fame's Pinning Ceremony at noon Oct. 15.

Announced this summer, Peykar, co-founder and chairman, Nourison, is among the three influential industry leaders inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Oct. 15 during the High Point Market. Joining the current 131 members of the Hall of Fame are Peykar; the late Erie J. Sauder, founder and chairman of Sauder Woodworking; and Jeffrey Seaman, co-founder and CEO of Rooms To Go.
