Creative Touch Debuts Dozens of New Designs, Jordan Collection at HPMKT

The N.J. rug manufacturer is adding dozens of new designs to its top-selling collections and introducing the new hand-loomed Jordan collection.

HIGH POINT, N.C. — New Jersey-based area rug showroom Creative Touch heads to June High Point Market adding dozens of new area rug designs to its most popular collections and debuting the new hand-loomed Jordan collection

Below are some of the rugs on show at the company’s Suites at Market Square, G-3042 & G-3045, space.

Mannarion Designs

Three new rugs added to the collection designed by Anna Maria Mannarino, of Mannarino Designs, and Baki Ildiz, of Creative Touch. The two joined forces to debut a truly unique collection of Nepalese weave rugs. Handcrafted in India, using wool and silk to create a luxe finish, the designs are further enhanced with the use of hand-carving. Mannarino and Ildiz carefully thought through every detail from the concept to production phase of the collaboration. Drawing inspiration from her professional experience as an award-winning interior and event designer, but also from her experience as an accomplished jazz singer, Mannarino's goal was to create something bold, attractive, functional, and new to the market. Luxury, glamour, and exuberance are all important facets to each design. Shapes are reminiscent of art deco style, but the color choices were specifically made with today's modern interior in mind.

Artxtiles Collection


Sarah Sczepanski's original, mono-type artwork is transformed into a Nepalese weave


This new collection is created by implementing varying pile heights and seamlessly blending wool and silk together. Each piece is masterfully woven and finished in India. Sczepanski derives her inspiration from subjects in nature that typically are overlooked, despite their intricate detail and vast complexity; a spider's web, for example. Sczepanski's creative process often originates with color. She finds herself drawn to blues and greens; this can be attributed to her passion for nature's wonders. Once she begins her process, she knows that, in part, she must "leave it up to the printmaking gods" something she learned from her favorite print-marking mentor.  The process to translate art into textile is a collaborative effort between Sczepanski and Baki Ildiz, Founder and President of Creative Touch. Together, they select pieces from Sczepanski's ever-growing library of mono-type artwork. Ildiz carefully guided the color selection, material content, and texture placement while maintaining the original integrity of Szcepanski's vision.

Bosphorus Collection


Creative Touch continues to add to its top-selling Bosphorus collection introducing more than 30 new designs.


A subtle statement of luxury, the Bosphorus collection acts as a harmonizing base
layer spanning from cool hues to warm toned neutrals. Crafted using lush wool and bamboo silk, pieces are suited for lived-in spaces or more lavish style. The artfully executed texture is created using a woven kilim background and hand-sheared pile. Versatile contemporary designs draw inspiration from meandering organic striations and timeless structured graphic designs. Bosphorus rugs are hand knotted in India, and crafted from the finest wool and bamboo silk.

Jordan Collection

The Jordan Collection is easily differentiated, thanks to its durable handloom andvariegated tip shear. Tip sharing allows for an organic occurrence of loop and pile to develop and create visual interest, as well as a comfortable underfoot. These rugs are composed of rich wool and are hand loomed in India.
