HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Momeni's High Point best-sellers included a wide variety of constructions and styling focusing on high-quality middle of the road mid-price area rugs.

"We focused on bold designs and impeccable craftsmanship at an affordable mid-price point," said Reza Momeni, of its showcased High Point debuts. "Our new print line adds fresh perspectives, while additions to our Momeni Basics collection offer timeless staples with a modern twist."

The popular Pure Salt collaboration added several new natural fibers designs, crafted of undyed or tea dyed fibers, including jute that’s been treated to feel like wool, cotton, linen and wool. Navagio was a favorite for its innovative use of fibers and weave. This rug is crafted of jute in a Nepalese knotted construction that uses a loop pile and cut pile to create a sophisticated stripe pattern.

Another market favorite was Momeni's new Ariana collection -- named after VP Aria Momeni, who hand-selected one-of-a-kind rugs to be reproduced in exceptional printed detail. "Ariana is a major achievement in vintage style printed rugs," Reza Momeni explained. "The high-quality polyester chenille pile uses a high-tech heat transfer printed technique to capture the authenticity of each design. The vintage originals are also available for sale.

Other well received introductions include the company’s Estelle collection, crafted of viscose and wool, with intricate, traditional designs printed on the neutral base with ribbed effect. Ombre for which Momeni developed "the most subtle gradient effect we could create in a hand-loomed rug" is densely tufted of 100 percent wool.

Momeni's new Estelle featured the subdued Persian motifs and ribbed effect High Point buyers were shopping for.

The new Adobe collection, inspired by the colors of the Southwest, is an experimental construction with jute border and leather stitching. These rugs feature a combination of two qualities to create one unified design. The hand-made construction is made to patch together areas of jute and areas of wool, to provide an heirloom vintage style. Jute was incorporated to add an organic rugged contrast to the Kilim wool patches.

Within the Momeni Modern line, Form and Contour are two solid-color sister collections in saturated colors like burgundy and mustard with carved geometric motifs. Contour is hand-loomed and Form is hand-tufted.

Momeni's Form collection grows the company's Modern series adding a range of solid-color geometric looks.

Several top-selling Momeni collections received spring line extensions. Cove, a hand-woven PET indoor/outdoor collection, has new colorways that include celery green, deep blue and chocolate brown. James, a collection of classic tufted wool, grows the Momeni Basics label with fresh color options of rust and brown. And its existing celery green palette is being emphasized, since it’s a color that’s trending with buyers.

Another highlight that proved popular this spring is Luna, a PET fiber lineup that is durable and easy-care but not intended for outdoor use as it has a canvas backing.

Momeni's new Luna collection, made of recycled plastic bottles PET fiber, was a hit for its soft motifs and warm palette.
