NY HOME FASHIONS MARKET ROUNDUP:
          PEOPLE & PRODUCTS, PART 2

NEW YORK -- In Part 2, RugNews.com continues its comprehensive review of the latest exclusive looks designed for e-commerce, chains and mass merchants on show at the New York Home Fashions Market.

And the latest releases highlighted an increased interest in warmer tones and a return to welcoming -- and easy to decorate with -- beiges and browns. That doesn't mean grays and blues are history, quite the opposite, however area rug designs featuring those colorations are warmed up by touches of red and yellow.

Area rug buyers, with packed schedules from retailers including Macy's, Bloomingdale's, Tuesday Morning, Company Store, Bed, Bath & Beyond, were roaming the halls of 295 Fifth Ave., 230 Fifth Ave. and beyond looking to pick up new fashion-driven exclusives and designs in trending colors to flesh out private label programs, which have become a critical component of the bi-annual New York Home Fashions Market.

And some of the hottest styles being scooped up focused on soft and ultra plush designs, textural high-low looks and shimmery accents -- all  naturally at a great value. Updated bohemian and tribal patterns and colorations -- heading toward muted warm tones -- and painterly styles continued to trend. And, farmhouse-friendly looks remained popular too. But now fresh Jacobean-influenced patterns and contemporary florals were springing up at showroom after showroom.

Below, we survey the top looks designed for big box stores at showrooms from Nourison to YMF/Creative Home. Make sure not to miss, Part 1 where we visited showrooms from Couristan to Natco.
