S&H Rugs focuses its spring introductions on modernizing traditional designs. Shown, Heriz Revival sh75935
HIGH POINT, N.C. -- S&H Rugs presents its latest hand-knotted area rugs that focus on transitional styling and historic character at its Suites at Market Square booth M1015 for High Point Market, April 25-29.
"We project strong, steady growth for the first half of 2026 and our expectations for the spring 2026 market are exceptionally high," said Ori Wilbush, founder S&H Rugs. "We are seeing a massive shift in interior design toward pieces that offer historic character but fit seamlessly into modern, transitional spaces—which is exactly what our Heritage Reimagined collection delivers. Our appointments are booking up quickly, with strong interest from designers seeking unique earth tones and zero-pile textures.
Wilbush notes the company's strategy of having its entire inventory in stock and ready to ship immediately has proven a successful approach. "In a climate where designers and buyers are facing tight project deadlines, our ability to bypass long lead times gives us a significant competitive advantage. Combined with the high demand for our new earthy colorways and modernized traditional designs, we anticipate a very robust first and second quarter," he concluded.
SPRING 2026 HERITAGE REVIVAL COLLECTION HIGHLIGHTS:
S&H's new arrivals focus on reworking time-honored traditional motifs with distinctly modern twist. The new Heritage Reimagined collection is crafted entirely from premium 100 percent wool, and the collection bridges the gap between historic artistry and contemporary interior design.
Heriz Revival Flower Medallion Rug
This 10x14 hand-knotted Oriental rug captures the classic, architectural appeal of historic Heriz designs while offering a rich, nuanced color palette and an incredibly comfortable texture. The rug is anchored by a warm, earthy rust orange field. What elevates this piece is its distinct abrash—the natural, intentional variations in the vegetable dyes that give the surface a mottled, watercolor-like depth.
Like their historic predecessors, Heriz Revival collection rugs feature a prominent, stepped geometric flower center medallion. Both the medallion and the surrounding field are densely ornamented with highly stylized, angular botanical elements, serrated leaves, and palmettes—classic hallmarks of weaving of their namesake traditional Northwest Persian village.
Crafted from 100 percent pure wool and colored entirely with vegetable dyes, this piece features a thick, plush pile for substantial underfoot comfort, warmth and sound dampening.
Chinese Art Deco-Inspired Peshawar Rug
S&H Rugs sh22962
S&H Rugs latest Art Deco-inspired Peshawar design pays homage to the glamour of 1920s and 30s Chinese Art Deco movement. By combining sweeping, asymmetrical motifs with a soft, modernized palette, this piece serves as a focal point for any room. Hand-knotted in soft, velvety wool, this piece feels as luxurious as it looks. The use of natural vegetable dyes ensures bright botanical colors with a rich, organic depth that will age beautifully over time. Its plush, velvety texture makes it incredibly comfortable underfoot.
Defined by a sophisticated use of negative space, the open center features a shimmering, silvery-taupe field with horizontal striae, giving it a textured, watercolor-like appearance. This is framed by a solid, earthy light brown outer border that allows the vibrant accent colors—jewel-toned magentas, sapphire blues, rich reds, and golden yellows—to pop.
The rug incorporates classic Deco-era pictorial elements, including a decorative urn or vase in the bottom-right corner and a stylized circular floral wreath along the left edge. Notably, the floral vines dynamically break through the subtle pale blue inner border and spill into the outer brown border, an iconic design trait of vintage Art Deco rugs.
Bauhaus-Inspired Geometric Rug

S&H Rugs sh22963
This vibrant 8’1" x 9’8" hand-knotted Bauhaus-Inspired Geometric rug, woven of pure wool, is a marked departure from traditional Oriental designs, offering instead a bold design heavily influenced by the Bauhaus and Arts and Crafts movements. The entire field is a geometric mosaic from edge to edge. It features a complex, interlocking array of triangles, squares and angled lines that create a sense of constant movement and three-dimensional depth. The design plays heavily with optical illusions, particularly in the lower-left quadrant, where layered right angles create a “stepped” or architectural effect.
The charcoal black base provides the high-contrast structural lines and solid foundational triangles framing an explosion of colorful elements filled with primary and secondary hues. Adding to the complexity, many of the geometric segments are filled with micro-patterns—bold black-and-white stripes, tight checkerboards, and intricate zig-zags. This mix of solid color blocks and dense graphic patterns gives the rug an incredibly modern, almost digital aesthetic.
Anatolian Village Design Rug

S&H Rugs sh2735
Anatolian Village designs remain a popular choice with S&H clients and this newest addition balances traditional tribal geometry with a soft, transitional color palette. A luminous, airy lace white field hosts central motifs which are woven in a muted, earthy palette featuring warm golden-mustard, soft mauve-brown, and pale slate blue.
This classic Anatolian Village is dominated by three large, stacked geometric medallions. These stepped, octagonal medallions are characteristic of traditional Turkish tribal weaving and feature intricate, star-like centers, and small, isolated diamond motifs. The rug is crafted from 100 percent wool using the traditional Turkish knot for exceptional durability. It is a "zero pile" and "sheared low" for a lightly distressed, vintage aesthetic, which remains highly coveted in contemporary design.
