LANDRUM, S.C. -- The Oriental Rug Retailers Association of America (ORRA, Inc.) has announced that board members will be manning a showroom at Suite 272 at Market Square from June 5-9 during High Point Market.

The association had planned to offer the Rug Appraiser Exam on Sunday, however that event has been postponed due to a car accident involving the exam coordinator, who will not be able to attend market now. For information, regarding future exams contact accounts@orrainc.com.

"Because Covid restrictions have been lowered considerably, we expect an active program for this late Spring Market. Anyone wishing to attend the market should make reservations ASAP," said Rich Amatulli, membership chairman, ORRA, Inc.

On Saturday 5 June, starting at 10 a.m. in Suite 272 Market Square, members of the Board of Trustees of ORRA will be having discussions about its CRA program and appraising, education and preparation for the exam. ORRA is also planning to conduct a High Point area rug showroom tour. "We'll be 'walking the market' on Monday June 7 at 10 a.m. along with a follow-up session of 'Knot to be Missed' that will include ORRA's future plans for business development in this new era."

Amatulli, managing member of Amatulli & Sons, LLC in North Carolina is encouraging anyone wishing to join ORRA's membership ranks to fill out an application on the organization's website or leave a voicemail message at (864)895-6544.

About ORRA

The ORRA is a non-profit membership organization supporting Oriental rug retailers, wholesalers, importers and service-related companies. According to Amatulli, "The Oriental Rug Retailers of America organization was founded in 1969 to bring high standards and ethical practices to a business sector once fraught with misinformation. For example, ORRA developed the Certified Rug Appraiser Program, whose graduates are now accepted as objective rug quality experts by consumers, retailers, banks and insurance companies throughout the US and Canada."
