Orian Rugs Announces Promotions, New Hires, and New Product

The domestic area rug manufacturer promotes of four key employees to support anticipated growth and announces new introductions for Las Vegas Market.

ANDERSON, S.C. – American-made rug and yarn manufacturer Orian Rugs announces the promotion of four key employees to support anticipated growth.

Dave Matamoros has been named executive vice president of rug sales for Orian. Dave’s duties will include all rug sales responsibilities for national accounts, ECOM and Specialty Rug categories. Dave is a 35-year veteran of the carpet and rug industry and has served as Orian’s senior vice president of rug sales since 2017.

Scott Miller has been promoted to the position of vice president of product development & marketing and will be responsible for the design and creation of all Orian rug product. As a seasoned industry veteran, Scott was previously Orian’s director of design, having taken Orian to the next level in sophistication through design innovation and industry-leading use of on-trend colors and styles.
 
Julie Weaver has been named marketing manager for Orian Rugs. As part of her responsibilities, Julie will be executing strategic marketing plans, planning promotional activity, and developing social media influencer campaign. Julie has been with Orian since 2014 and has served in various capacities, including sales, marketing, and design.

Jon Matamoros has been named as sales manager, East Coast. In his expanded role, Jon will be responsible for developing and executing sales growth plans for Specialty rug customers in the eastern half of the U.S. Jon is aggressive and responsive in his approach to the needs of his customer base. Jon started at Orian in 2018, as a territory manager for the Northeast US region working out of Philadelphia..

In addition, Orian Rugs has partnered with industry veteran Aline Finkelstein to call on specific strategic accounts. Aline brings with her over 30 years of industry knowledge, contacts, and experience. Orian is excited to have a professional such as Aline’s with her insight and credentials to its dynamic, nationwide team of sales.

LAS VEGAS INTRODUCTIONS

Orian is answering customer demand for new product that is made in America and avoids worldwide shipping delays. Customers coming to the 2022 winter Las Vegas World market will be able to see Orian’s new quality introductions as well as additions to the company’s best-selling collections in all styles, weaves, and constructions. This includes traditional, transitional, and modern area rug designs.
