Nourison Partners with Designer Francis Toumbakaris to Create Prismatic Rug Display at High Point Market

Playing up the 3-D abstract art effects of Nourison's Prismatic Collection rugs, vignette designer Francis Toumbakaris creates a room with rug samples from the best-selling line as framed art.

Debut additions to the striking Prismatic collection by Nourison are PRS26 seafoam/gold on the wall and PRS25 multicolor on the floor of this High Point Market display by interior designer Francis Toumbakaris.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Leading floor covering and home accents manufacturer Nourison showcased its best-selling Prismatic rug collection in a vignette created by New York City interior designer Francis Toumbakaris at their InterHall showroom during the fall 2021 High Point Market.

The vignette featured two new designs just added to the popular abstract motifs which distinguish the Prismatic area rug collection, as well as a gallery wall of 2x3 rug samples displayed as framed art. New design PRS25 Multicolor recreates the look of a beautiful sunset in rich shades of red, golden yellow, orange, pink, purple and blue, while the debuting PRS26 Seafoam/Gold features multi-toned blues and splashes of yellow.

The hand-tufted Prismatic collection is known for unique designs, vibrant color and hand-carved texture, made from a luxurious blend of fine New Zealand wool and silky Luxcelle fibers.

A range of Prismatic collection area rug samples in burgundy frames form a focal point in a display anchored by new designs PRS25 in the floor and PRS26 on the wall at Nourison's InterHall showroom.

“I always felt that these beautiful rugs look like paintings, so the inspiration came right away." said Toumbakaris. "I said we need to create a gallery wall with frames, framed as samples so it looks like a little gallery, and that’s what you are seeing.”

Francis Toumbakaris has a natural eye for design, successfully leveraging his background in dance and the arts, crafting Francis Interiors into one of New York City’s most versatile interior design firms with clients residing in high-end apartments, townhouses and condos.
