LAS VEGAS -- Mohawk Group's Durkan Hospitality division was awarded two IIDA/HD Expo Awards in the Flooring and Best of Competition categories for its Mycotopia collection, rolled out at the Las Vegas HD Expo show earlier this month.

Mycotopia, inspired by the hidden structures of mushrooms and their ecological importance, includes 16 patterns crafted of sustainable materials.

Durkan Hospitality's HD Expo booth showcased the debuting Mycotopia collection of 16 sustainably crafted patterns.

In addition, the collection is 100 percent carbon neutral, meaning it is neutral plus an additional 5 percent for a net positive give back to the environment. Mycotopia, part of the Definity series is crafted of Colorstrand fiber, which outclasses wool fiber in every category of sustainability, according to the company. Definity carpets are made with the company's Precision Sculpted Technology, which is capable of producing the highest definition of texture, pattern and color ever achieved in high-end hospitality flooring, Mohawk stated.

The new Mycotopia range is crafted of Colorstrand fiber using the company's textural Precision Sculpted Technology.

Patterns and color palettes for Mycotopia are inspired by the hidden structures of mushrooms and their ecological significance.
