DALTON, Georgia -- LR Resources has donated nearly 400 KN95 face masks for use by medical professionals at the Dalton-based Crisis Stabilization Unit at Highland Rivers Health.

Krishna and Rajani Laddha, owners and founders of LR Resources, purchased the masks in early April when they were difficult to find and very expensive. "Laddha knew the Crisis Unit might not be at the top of the list to receive PPE funds, and found a source where he bought almost 400 of the masks for the doctor and his staff," said Mike Thompson, senior vice president of sales/general manager of LR Resources.

"I have no doubt that there will be doctors, nurses, business people, etc. benefitting from their contribution to their home community. This is just an example of the heart and philanthropy of this family," Thompson continued. "They started a school on their property in in India a few years ago with five or six students. They have now built a school building there with several classrooms and over 100 students. This is the only way these kids would ever have such an opportunity in an area where only the wealthy can send their children to school."

"The Laddha family started LR Resources from scratch in 2001 and now employs many in the U.S. and India. As their business has grown, they have given more than they have received," Thompson said.
