HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Kalaty will offer High Point Market shoppers a range of fresh area rug introductions ranging from a new artist-inspired abstract licensed program that is power-loomed to statement making color-drenched hand-knotted area rugs.

The latest introductions will be on show at the Kalaty showroom, IHFC, G-369, during spring market. Among the rug debuts is a new rug series with Brooklyn muralist and visual artist Katie Merz, which kicks off with two power-loomed collections. Also expected to make a splash is Kalaty's Talora collection, hand-knotted using premium hand-spun wool yarns with a near zero pile. Talora, which was previewed to select buyers during the fall market, will be added to Kalaty's programmed rugs for spring market following following positive feedback. The line takes a bold color approach to update traditional tribal looks offering palettes including rosy pinks, lavender/wisteria, turquoise paired with Hermes orange, lapis and saffron.

"We feel that the Talora collection will have broad appeal for those whose design tastes range from updated traditional to modern-rustic to boho-inspired decor styles," said Ariel Kalaty, company spokesman. The colors found in this collection are derived from a variety of current trend influences that give this collection an added sense of fashion chic."

In addition, rug shoppers seeking softer colorations will also be able to browse fresh looks. New for spring is a line extension to Kalaty's Torano, a range of ultra luxe rugs crafted of premium hand-spun wool and natural silk in a Tibetan weave. The collection features soft fashion colors and subtly erased patterns and the latest style (TN-382) adds an abstract look to the assortment. TN-382 offers a palette of soft blues, blush pinks, peach, and butter yellows.

"Kalaty has always offered a range of high-end hand-knotted rug styles in a breadth of colors designed to suit most every decor taste," added Kalaty. "We also recognize that colors and styles often tend to be regional, which is another reason that we produce such a depth of designs. And, because fashion magazines, fashion runways and fashion influencers also impact the popularity of décor colors, we pay a great deal of attention to fashion trends to help us derive our colors and color directions."

Among Kalaty's best-selling collections, the hand-knotted Capri adds a fresh saffron-infused style for spring.
