HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- Kalaty Rug Corp. heads to High Point Market, Oct. 25-30-with a full selection of new area rugs in all weaves, textures, constructions, colors and décor genres. While the company primarily is showcasing its latest high-end hand-knotted collections plus additions to best-selling hand-knotted lines, it will also be promoting its expanded upper-tier proprietary Luxe-Weave hand-finished power-loomed collections at its High Point showroom, IHFC, G369.

Each of the company’s Luxe-Weave rug collections – Zara, Blooma, Ventura and Paintwrks – is woven with premium wool yarns. However, what sets these rugs apart from standard power-loomed rugs is the unique Luxe-Weave power-loomed process where each rug receives a number of meticulous hand-finishing steps: hand-binding, hand-carving and the same special finishing wash given to high-end rugs. It is these important hand-finishing steps that impart the luxurious texture and special qualities found in Kalaty Luxe-Weave rugs and what makes them nearly indiscernible from many of their hand-knotted counterparts.

Also making its High Point debut: WASH-ABLES by Kalaty. Two of the new WASH-ABLES collections – Merzglyphs and Sportsglyphs II – are licensed glyph-art designs from renowned Brooklyn urban artist Katie Merz. The third WASH-ABLES collection, Cascade, is an eclectic group of designs ranging from updated Oushaks to modern abstract influences. All WASH-ABLES by Kalaty are power-loomed using 100 percent polyester yarns.
