Jamie Stern Furniture Announces Sixth Annual Rug Design Contest

Interior designers can submit their original rug designs through Nov. 2, 2025 for a chance to win a 5x7 rug of their design produced by Jamie Stern as part of the Sixth Annual Rug Design Contest.

NEW YORK -- For the sixth year running, Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric announces its Sixth Annual Rug Design Contest. From Sept. 29 to Nov. 2, any interior designer or architect in the United States and Canada can submit an original design for the chance to have it transformed into a beautiful custom area rug.

All entries will be evaluated by an esteemed panel of judges comprised of three award-winning design professionals: Jeremy Levitt, Founder and Principal of Parts and Labor Design, Marcus Miller, Interior Designer at Workshop/APD and Evelyn Wilwerding, Director of Interiors at HOK Chicago.

A Grand Prize Winner and two runners-up from each of four regions – Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and West – will be selected by the judges and will have their designs brought to life as beautiful area rugs made of 100 percent natural fibers.

“Anyone who has worked with our rug division will know the importance we place on sustainable design. From sourcing the best renewable fibers available to promoting eco-friendly production techniques, we pride ourselves on championing green design choices whenever possible,” said Jamie Stern, founder of Jamie Stern Furniture, Carpet, Leather & Fabric.

To continue this proud tradition during this year’s contest, Jamie Stern is partnering with the nonprofit organization, One Tree Planted. For every original rug design received, Jamie Stern will plant a tree in crucial areas around the world to address environmental challenges and support essential reforestation efforts.
