
WARWICK RI -- Funeral services will be held here Friday, June 7, 2013 for John Bradshaw, who died Monday, June 3 at his home here. Bradshaw was 68 and devoted much of his adult life to the rug and home textiles business.
He was the husband of Debra Ann (Caserta) Bradshaw. In addition to his widow, he is survived by two sons: Darren M. Bradshaw of Framingham, MA. and Jay T. Bradshaw and his wife Lisa of Andover MA., two step children, a sister and seven grandchildren.
Bradshaw's long and successful career was marked by progressively responsible positions in sales, management, marketing and merchandising.
Before retiring in 2010, Bradshaw was vice president of sales and marketing of International Textile Manufacturing, Inc., a start up company based in Cumberland, RI.
He was with Colonial Mills from from 1991 to 2008, serving as vice president of national sales and later vice president of national accounts.
From 1976 to 1991, he was New England district sales manager for West Point Stevens.
He began his career in home furnishings in 1969 with Bloomingdale's New York, where he served in various managerial and buying positions until 1976.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 7 at 9 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence St West Warwick, RI, burial will follow in East Greenwich Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, and may call at The Urquhart - Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Ave., Warwick, RI, ( exit 12-A off I-95) Thursday , June 6 from 4 to 8 pm.
