HRI Expands Rug Offering; Showcases New Outdoor & Machine-Mades in New York

HRI EXPANDS RUG OFFERING; SHOWCASES NEW OUTDOOR & MACHINE-MADES IN NEW YORK

 

HRI dramatically grows its recently introduced Outdoor Heirlooms collection -- its first outdoor line -- for shoppers attending the fall 2019 New York Home Fashions Market.


 

NEW YORK -- Harounian Rugs International (HRI) will debut its first outdoor rugs to New York Home Fashions Market shoppers this week at its West 29th Street showroom and headquarters.
 
The new Outdoor Heirlooms machine-made collection was quickly expanded to 46 designs after HRI introduced 26 styles earlier this summer to enthusiastic buyer response, and in New York HRI will offer exclusive designs to larger retailers  interested in private label programs. Also at the NY show, the company is also rolling out a whopping 15 additional machine-made collections, a category of growing importance for HRI.

"We anticipate a better New York market this fall and expect a stronger fall 2019 overall," said Lee Harounian.  "We are in a much stronger position now than we were at this time last year. 


"We've continued to diversify our product offerings for the past three years and now we're presenting our first outdoor collections. Plus, for High Point, we will be announcing a special collaboration where we are a sole producer for a major brand. So we are looking to a strong fall and 2019."


STRONG START FOR OUTDOOR HEIRLOOMS

HRI's inaugural outdoor collection, Outdoor Heirlooms, made a splash in Vegas and was dramatically expanded for NY Home Fashions Market.

Part of the HRI-Resilience series, HRI's new machine-made outdoor rugs will carry the company's recently announced Outdoor Heirlooms label. the outdoor collection was featured in the company's Las Vegas Market showroom with a prominent display near the showroom's entrance for the market's summer 2019 edition.


"We have about 46 designs in our new Outdoor Heirlooms collection. It is our first roll out in the category and we are already expanding it," Lee Harounian told RugNews.com. "We introduced 26 designs in Vegas and for NY Home Fashions we will have 46 total designs.

 

"Plus we are introducing 15 new lines of additions to our machine-made rugs ... Our machine-made business has doubled in the last three years," Harounian continued.

 

 

 

 

HRI introduces the new machine-made Serena collection, made in Turkey of polyester and viscose, with a fashion-forward luster-metallic look.


 

DRAMATIC EXPANSION TO CUSTOM RUG PROGRAM



HRI is beefing up its custom program, adding several new qualities and constructions, designed for specialty stores and to the trade showrooms. Shown, Manhattan, hand-made of wool in Nepal


Also, during the summer, HRI showcased its dramatically enhanced made-to-order program, adding several new qualities and constructions to the series, including the hand-made indoor-outdoor PET designs of Hampton and the luxurious Supreme Nepali collection of handmade silk rugs made by hand in Nepal

"We are growing our custom program to target specialty stores and to the trade showrooms," Harounian noted.


Other debuting custom collections include: Hamilton, hand-made of PET yarn in India; Lagoon, hand-made of wool in India; Manhattan, hand-made of wool in Nepal; and Ombre, hand-made of wool in Nepal.

 

HRI targets the custom market, showcasing several new qualities and constructions. Shown, indoor-outdoor collections, Hamilton and Hampton.
