HIGH POINT, N.C. -- As rug companies become ever more sophisticated marketers, educational programming, special events and promises of sneak peeks at the next hot rug trend are luring customers to their High Point showrooms.
Market shoppers on the hunt for area rugs got some extra perks at the fall event, which ran from Oct. 13-17, with appearances by design celebs Kathy Ireland and Barclay Butera at Nourison, the Madcap Cottage duo at the debut party for their rugs by Momeni, and Surya outdid itself with visits from top HGTV designers at the market's first red carpet event.
