JANE SEYMOUR & UNIQUE LOOM PREMIERE LICENSED RUG COLLECTION

Actress, artist and licensing mogul Jane Seymour has partnered with Unique Loom on her latest collection of area rugs, which includes The Wave and Flowers designs shown above.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Jane Seymour, equally acclaimed as actress, artist and entrepreneur, is adding a new assortment of area rugs to her licensing empire with a soon-to-be released collection in partnership with Unique Loom.
RugNews.com learned during the rug company's High Point debut at last week's Fall market, that the Open Hearts by Jane Seymour collection encompasses 12 designs based on Seymour's original fine art. The rugs will be available for sale online in early November, according to Adeleh Nassri, trade program director for Fort Mill, South Carolina-based Unique Loom, which opened its first showroom at High Point Market this fall (read more) and which does 90 percent of its sales through major e-commerce sites such as Wayfair, Amazon, Overstock and rugs.com.

The colorful, modern designs include bold over-scaled florals, a giant wave motif, a fun interpretation of the British flag in trendy interiors colors, and an Open Hearts design that's sure to please Seymour's fans. All rugs in the collection are high quality machine woven in polypropylene.

Nassri said Seymour did a glamorous photo shoot with her rugs at a High Point location on the first weekend of market, and that the images (including the photo featured above) will be used for marketing and merchandising. "We are very excited about the collection: Jane's art translates beautifully to area rugs," she explained, noting that Unique Loom has two additional licensing partners: the Marilyn Monroe Estate and Jill Zarin, a designer and former cast member of The Real Housewives of New York reality TV show.

Seymour's successful 10-year collaboration with Michael Amini's furniture company AICO (Amini Innovation Corp.) was expanded earlier this year, with the program adding more interior design styles to the glamorous designs featured in previous collections. A combination of the new looks and running line styles were introduced at the spring 2018 High Point Market under a new brand, Michael Amini - Jane Seymour Living, to capture a wider consumer audience.

Seymour, who began her career as an actress, is best known for roles in Live and Let Die, War and Remembrance, and Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman. She has become equally well regarded as an accomplished painter, selling original watercolors and oils on her website and through gallery exhibitions. Her interest in interior design combined with her artistic talent has led to a highly successful licensing empire.

In fact, the 'Open Hearts by Jane Seymour' licensing program was honored with the 2017 International Licensing Award for best celebrity/fashion program of the year by the International Licensing Merchandisers' Association --  winning out over 460 other submissions.

Open Hearts by Jane Seymour licensed products have achieved $1 billion in retail sales since 2008 and continue to grow, and Seymour's licensed products are sold in over 3,000 stores in the U.S., U.K. and Canada.

Open Hearts products are inspired by Seymour's original paintings and embody the connection of giving and receiving all of life's experiences. A portion of all revenues help fund the Open Hearts Foundation. The best known Open Hearts products are her jewelry sold at KAY Jewelers, Zales, Jared, H. Samuel (U.K.), and Peoples (Canada). Other licensed products and services are also sold worldwide, including fragrance, furniture, wall decor, lighting, bedding, soft bath, and publishing.
