NEW YORK -- Spanish rug maker GAN, a division of Gianda Blasco, wins the NYCxDesign Award in the Environmental Impact category for its new Plastic Rivers rug collection made from recycled PET.

Designed by Álvaro Catalán de Ocón, the new assortment includes four designs (Yangtze, Indus, Niger and Ganges) and is hand-tufted by India by artisans. The four designs draw inspiration from the four most polluted rivers on the planet.
