First Look: Kalaty's Latest Natori Collections Launch This Summer

Featuring animal-inspired prints, the new N Natori series of rugs by fashion designer Josie Natori for Kalaty are power-loomed and offer  subtle color palettes at a more affordable price.

HICKSVILLE, N.Y. -- Kalaty Rug Corp. is offering summer rug buyers a sneak peak of its latest Josie Natori area rug collection, Serengeti, which expands the renowned fashion designers offering to include the first new power-loomed designs.

The debuting area rug collections, branded under the N Natori by Kalaty label, feature a more moderately priced assortment. The first two collections in the N Natori series include the animal-inspired designs of N Natori Serengeti (crafted of polyester yarns) and the geometric motifs of N Natori Bliss (made of a combination of acrylic and viscose yarns). Both are constructed with the knots-per-square-inch (KPSI- 260) equivalent to that of many hand-knotted rugs.

“We continue to enjoy success with our heirloom hand-knotted licensed Natori rug collections – Dynasty, Shangri-La and Lhasa,” says Ariel Kalaty, a company spokesman. “It is a natural extension of our Natori partnership and this summer we are launching the N Natori series of collections, a more moderately priced series of power-loomed rug collections."
