Feizy Design Gallery by NW Rugs & Furniture celebrates the grand opening of a new trade-only Feizy showroom.
BEAVERTON, Ore. -- Feizy has partnered with NW Rugs & Furniture to roll out a new trade-exclusive Feizy rug design gallery within the retailer's Beaverton location in the Portland metro area. The duo is hosting a grand opening celebration on Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where cocktails and light bites will be served, and visitors can participate in a guided tour of the new showroom and its designer offering.
“The roots of the company are firmly set in the interior design sector, from our higher-end, hand-knotted styles to the most fashionable colors and trends,” Mike Riley, president, said of the new venture, noting he expects Feizy to seek out similar opportunities in other under-served markets. "We’ve got tremendous amounts of inventory: 52,000 one-of-a-kind rugs in Dallas alone. The challenge is how to get them in front of people," he continued. Feizy began searching for a partner in the region, which the company had identified as being underserved, and discussions led to the new partnership with NW Rugs.
Feizy selected its freshest merchandise and most trend-forward collections for its design gallery in NW Rugs.
Riley told RugNews.com that Feizy has aggressively been targeting the design community in recent years, offering them heirloom-quality hand-knotted rugs, such as the best-selling Killian collection, which was inspired by Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar and is hand-knotted in India and colored with natural vegetable dyes. Nonetheless, Feizy's designer clients are not only seeking out high-end rugs, they are consistently looking for machine-woven and performance pieces as well. Collections such as Feizy's best-selling Jaxson, a textured machine-woven lineup, and easy care options from its popular program alongside designer Thom Filicia offer both the fashion and function underfoot that designers want and will be part of the assortment in Beaverton. In addition, the Feizy Design Gallery will feature the company's recently introduced Loom Ready program, which allows designers to order custom-size hand-knotted rugs from a curated selection of designs, and Feizy's custom program also offers other customizations choices as well.
Feizy x NW Rugs & Furniture will serve as a blueprint for similar partnerships and galleries in the future.
“At NW Rugs & Furniture, we’ve established a mini Feizy showroom where clients residing in or with projects in the Pacific Northwest can see our product in person,” he said. "We put the freshest merchandise and most trend-forward collections in the gallery catering it to the interior design community -- a lot of thought has gone into the assortment.”
