Feizy revamps custom rug program and renames the curated, customizable collection Ready-Loom.
HIGH POINT, N.C. — At the recent High Point Market, Feizy rolled out a wide range of product styles, weaves, and price points, offering on-point choices for every customer.
With a full event calendar of seminars, parties and other events, the showroom saw plenty of traffic.
“The Friday of market was our biggest Friday ever,” said Mike Riley, president Feizy, who noted that the company's ability to offer a one-stop shop solution for designers and buyers is a big draw to its spacious showroom on North Hamilton.
“There were lots of interior designers.” In fact, this is a segment that has grown considerably for Feizy. Riley estimated that designers now account for nearly 50 percent of sales, after steady growth over the past five years. This figure includes furniture stores with design studios and design staff.
One offering that Feizy has developed with the design community in mind is its Loom Ready program, a curated collection of made-to-order rugs with a quick turnaround. The Loom Ready program rebrands and updates the company's Revolution custom program.
“We now have 50 different rugs in our Loom-Ready program,” Riley told RugNews.com. “We usually order a few programmed sizes for these as well.” One of the latest designs in Loom-Ready is Kinshasa, an African-inspired pattern hand-knotted in wool treated with metal-infused dye for an unexpected luster.

The company is working to build more offerings for the interior design community, a segment that is driving sales for the company. And while interior designers value handmade and handcrafted rugs, the company is also making sure to create value-priced options with similar aesthetics, often used in tandem in the same project.
“More than 80 percent of our orders of fine rugs have machine-made or [hand-tufted] rugs accompanying them,” he said. These are often used for kids’ rooms or other high-traffic areas, he added.
From Feizy's running line, the hand-crafted Cornerstone was an instant hit. “It’s getting a lot of good feedback because of the solid colors, but it has good texture,” said a spokesperson. Hand-loomed in saturated, earthy solids of 100 percent wool, the rugs have a textured ribbing of cut and loop pile with a carved striped effect. Available in six colorways and five sizes up to 12x15 , this collection is made in India.
The just-debuted Vaughn is hand-knotted of wool and silk. Offering intricate floral patterns that are oxidized to give an antiqued look, the collection has a cool palette that focuses on blues, greys and beiges. Fontana, another vintage-inspired collection, is crafted of hand-knotted wool. The traditional patterns are updated with contemporary colors like blues, olive green and rust.

Anica, a collection introduced earlier this year, has expanded with new designs. These popular Moroccan-inspired rugs have a high-texture shag and cut and loop tufted construction highlighting oversized geometric lines in natural colors. The rugs are hand-tufted of 100 percent wool in India.

A more contemporary look is available in Winston, a hand-tufted cut and loop pile wool collection. One of the patterns is inspired by the veining of a leaf, then blown out to be a graphic abstract. This lineup was an instant favorite at market.

In machine-made offerings, Priestley is power-loomed but has a hand-loomed look, with a striated variation in the solid-colored ground. It’s made of polyester and polypropylene and is available in six neutral solids and six sizes. Greenwich, conversely, has a more contemporary look with abstract and geometric shapes and a moody neutral palette. It’s made in Turkey of polyester and polypropylene.
