NEW YORK -- DIFFA announces that DIFFA BY DESIGN (DBD)—one of the design industry’s most celebrated fundraisers—is returning with an exciting new home at ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan, May 21–23 during NYCxDesign.

DIFFA’s signature event promises to be spectacular—local and international brands and designers are already signing up to create extraordinary installations in support of DIFFA’s mission to raise awareness and funds for organizations providing treatment, education, and assistance for people impacted by HIV/AIDS, homelessness, hunger, and mental health issues. The new venue will bring a large audience of qualified international and national design industry leaders—driving awareness and most importantly, funding for the organization’s grantees.

“DIFFA’s DIFFA BY DESIGN has long been an iconic fixture on the design calendar,” says Dawn Roberson, executive director at DIFFA. "Designers are given the opportunity to showcase uninhibited creativity—an awe-inspiring gift for attendees who are able to immerse themselves into a macrocosm of design for good. The event has raised funds for scores of organizations throughout the years, such as God’s Love We Deliver, Housing Works, Planned Parenthood of Greater NY, and GMHC, to name just a few. We look forward to seeing what thought-provoking, mesmerizing installations our ultra-talented roster of new and returning participants will dream up. We are so appreciative of the support from our new partners at Emerald and ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan.”

“The DIFFA Board of Trustees are thrilled to have a new home for DIFFA by Design in partnership with ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan trade shows this year at the Javits Center. In addition to bringing a charity component to these prestigious shows, DIFFA will be showcasing innovative creations from the best and brightest designers and brands in 2023, which we are excited to share with an international audience. We look forward to continuing to make a DIFFArence in the lives of the communities we exist to serve...truly embracing our tagline this year of design that makes a DIFFArence!” – Cindy Allen, Editor Chief, Interior Design; Chair, DIFFA.

The immersive installations will be on view to ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan badge holders during all three days of the show, which is open to trade professionals Sunday, May 21 and Monday, May 22 and to both trade as well as consumers on Tuesday, May 23. There will be a ticketed entrance for consumers/non-badgeholders for a donation of $20 and a number of features including talks, and a ticketed cocktail event on Monday, May 22. Tickets will be available in the coming weeks at diffa.org.

The program is being finalized in the coming weeks. For more information, please email Steven Williams, Associate Director at swilliams@diffa.org and/or visit icff.com.
