LAS VEGAS -- During the past three years, Couristan has been busy revamping its broadloom assortment and at the International Surfaces Event, Jan. 28-30 2020, the company showcases 38 new designs at its booth #6033.
"Surfaces is always a big market for us as, as we offer a tremendous amount of new products setting the tone for the season," Larry Mahurter, vice president of marketing and advertising, told RugNews.com. "In 2018, we introduced 86 broadloom introductions, in 2019, 34 introductions, and in 2020 we are looking at 38 new introductions. So over the past three years we have really revamped our assortment offerings among our Purity, Creations and Premiere brands -- hand-loomed or hand-made products have been a big focus as well Wilton loops."
For Surfaces shoppers, the Fort Lee, New Jersey, company presents a number of new constructions featuring new textures such as a 100 percent pure virgin wool woven Wilton loop pile, hand-tufted and hand-loomed loop piles, and a nine-row Axminster cut-pile design made of 80 percent wool and 20 percent.
"Broadloom is a significant part of our business as we are recognized as a luxury product -- and our custom rug capabilities have enhanced our sales growth within this category," he continued. "Surfaces sets the tone for the entire year for us in this category and we have concentrated on delivering products that are innovative in terms of construction and texture (with our handmade products,) as well as stylish and colorful for today's demanding designers and their clients."

The new Cobbleweave 7602/0002 in turquoise is a 100 percent pure wool hand-tufted loop pile construction with a 15' width.
ROYALAX II BLUE COLLECTION
Couristan, Royalax II Blue collection 8101/0003 in blue
New for Surfaces is the trending blue antelope design in the Royalax II Blue collection, design 8101/0003. A nine-row Axminster cut-pile design is made of an 80 percent wool and 20 percent nylon blend with a 13'6" width.

Crafted of a hand-loomed loop pile, Tamarack is made of a 70 percent wool/20 percent polyester blend and has a 15' width.
