DALLAS -- Gift for Life, the gift and home industries' sole charitable organization, today announced that Adam Glassman, creative director of O, The Oprah Magazine, will appear in a special "Countdown to the REAs" webinar on Tuesday, August 4.

The session will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the Oprah's "Favorite Things" selection process.
Gift for Life will present its 2020 Industry Achievement Award to Glassman on August 6, as part of the 69th Annual Retailer Excellence Awards. Introduced in 2009, Gift for Life’s Industry Achievement Award recognizes overall excellence and contribution to the gift and home industry -- whether as a thought leader, standard-bearer or overall industry influencer.

Glassman has been Creative Director of O, The Oprah Magazine since 2000, overseeing O's style pages, all aspects of the magazine's cover shoots and the highly anticipated O Favorite Things. Since 2007, Glassman has been fielding questions from O readers on a wide range of fashion topics for his monthly 'Adam Says' column and was a pioneer in using real women for fashion shoots in the
magazine.

'Making the 'O List' - A Webinar with Adam Glassman" runs Tuesday, August 4, at 3pm (ET). During the 30-minute session, Adam Glassman, creative director for O, The Oprah Magazine, will talk about the Oprah's Favorite Things list - how this list is made, what it takes to be one of Oprah's Favorite Things and how vendors and retailers alike can use it to their advantage. Registration is free.

"Adam's participation in this pre-REA webinar is just one more way that Adam is contributing to our industry," said Matthew Katzenson, chair of the Gift for Life board. "We hope that everyone listening in on August 4 will pay tribute to Adam by contributing to our Text-to-Donate campaign benefiting A Sister's Gift Women's Center."

A Sister's Gift Women's Center is the first stand-alone HIV/AIDS agency serving women in Dallas and the first in Texas to incorporate a female gender-based peer-lead intervention model. ASG serves females (aged 13 and up) and their families impacted by HIV/AIDS with counseling, peer support programs, food assistance and transportation.
