PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC -- A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 30 for Carl Lee (C.L.) Needham. Mr. Needham, a long-time rug and carpet industry sales representative, died Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at his home. He was 72.
The service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30 at Cox-Needham Chapel, 822 West Main St., Pilot Mountain, NC
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Mt. Airy, NC, 27030.
C.L. Needham represented 828 International Trading Co. for 15 years in North and South Carolina, as well as Stanton Carpet and other carpet companies.
He retired in 2009 to care for his mother, who was over 100 years. old.
He was born in Surry County, North Carolina on June 22, 1938 to Carl Lee Needham Sr., and Pearl Wright Needham.
Mr. Needham is survived by his mother, Pearl Wright Needham of Pilot Mountain; one son, Carl Lee Needham III and wife Cindy; one daughter, Cheryl Jones and husband Joe; one daughter-in-law, Kim Needham; eight grandsons, Carl Needham IV and wife Shannon, Jordan Needham, Thomas Wade Jr., Tyler Wade, Chet Needham, Cameron Needham, Tyson Mangum and Taylor Mangum; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Jane Needham of Mt. Airy; and two nephews, Bill and Doug Needham.
He was preceded in death by his father; and one son, Christopher Lacy Needham.
