At Home Names Walmart Veteran as President and Chief Merchandising Officer

At Home announced that longtime retail industry executive Jeff Evans will join the company as president and chief merchandising officer.

Former Walmart exec Jeff Evans was named At Home's president and chief merchandising officer.

DALLAS -- Home furnishings retailer At Home announced that it has appointed retail industry veteran Jeff Evans as president and chief merchandising officer. Evans will assume the position on June 19.

Evans is a senior merchandising leader that brings 32 years of knowledge in managing businesses across different retail formats including department stores, warehouse clubs and mass retailers. He has deep experience in ecommerce, building brands, product development, sourcing and identifying business opportunities.

Prior to joining At Home, Evans was executive vice president, entertainment, toys and seasonal for Walmart US, where he managed the company’s largest omnichannel general merchandise business in excess of $37B. He served in leadership roles at Walmart US and Sam’s Club for 15 years in general merchandising, omnichannel, home and apparel divisions. Under his leadership, the Walmart US home business generated $22B. Mr. Evans began his career at Filene’s in Boston, a division of May Department Stores, and spent 16 years merchandising different categories in apparel.

He holds a degree in finance from Ithaca College.
