Architectural Leader Gensler Collaborates with Ben Soleimani on Gensler X Ben Soleimani Rug Collection

The launch of the Gensler x Ben Soleimani Collection marks Soleimani’s foray into the contract rug market and a design collaboration of leaders in their respective industries.

LOS ANGELES -- In collaboration with global architecture and design firm Gensler, Ben Soleimani announces the debut of the Gensler designed hand-knotted contract rug collection – Gensler x Ben Soleimani Collection. This is Ben Soleimani’s first collection for the contract market. Gensler’s unique designs are paired with the artistry for which Ben Soleimani is known around the world.

The collaboration started as the Gensler design team pulled a huge array of diverse inspiration -- everything from architecture and art to what they termed ‘beauty in the banal’, shadows, pencil rubbings and ‘ordinary’ textures that through a textural lens morphed into the extraordinary.

"Every hand-knotted rug in this collection is a study in balance — between performance and beauty, innovation and tradition. It reflects our commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability and function at the highest level, without compromise," states Soleimani.

For decades, Soleimani has been at the forefront of sustainable rug design, continuously pushing the boundaries of performance fiber innovation. His dedication to advancing his proprietary performance fiber technology has culminated in an unparalleled achievement: fibers crafted from upcycled PET bottles that he says are virtually indistinguishable from natural wool.

“In the creation of this collection, we tapped into the global Gensler network in order to bring forth diverse design viewpoints including the modern, contemporary, organic, and industrial,” says Gensler product development design director, Daniel Stromborg. “Our goal was to infuse the collection with a range of sophisticated and memorable designs that would create rich layers of color and pattern to both commercial and residential spaces.”

The Gensler x Ben Soleimani Rug Collection will be available exclusively through Ben Soleimani showrooms.
