The Masterlooms/Jerry Aziz showroom is always a hub of activity for both customers and visiting rug execs. Lee Harounian, left, stops by to chat with Jerry Aziz, center, president of Jerry Aziz, and Nasser Rahmanan, president of Masterlooms. Harounian, a principal of HRI,  said he was in town to nail down a lease for a 3,000 sq. ft. showroom in Building B, opening in January.


Feizy was showing for the last time at its huge showroom at the World Market Center Pavilion. In January, the company opens a state of the art showroom in Building B. will be moving into Building C in July 2008.


Old buddies and colleagues, still friends: Oliver A (Bud) Wyman, founder and former president of The Rug-Hold Co., New York, with Dallas based sales agent Ralph Long. Long was one of Rug Hold's first sales reps.


Lissa Wyman, editor and publisher of Rugnews.com, joins this group from United Weavers  of America to say bye bye from Vegas. The UW folks are Bill Dail, Oklahoma sales agent; Diane Carleo, UW director of marketing, and Bruce Hagan who covers Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. United Weavers will be moving into Building C two years from now.


Kathy Ireland also joins Lissa Wyman to say "bye-bye from Vegas." Wyman will see everyone at the New York Metro Market Sept. 17 to 22, while Kathy will catch up with you at the  High Point International Furniture Market Oct. 16 to 20.
