Indeed, Surya customers can now design entire rooms with furniture, upholstery, lighting, and decorative accessories – and the brand’s fashion leadership was evident in lifestyle vignettes peppering the space.

LICENSED PARTNERSHIPS
Surya debuted its new Frank Lloyd Wright collaboration with hand-made rugs inspired by the architect's iconic style.
Surya got a thumbs up from designers for the debut of handmade rugs in the Frank Lloyd Wright x Surya licensing partnership. The company did a standout job interpreting the essence of Wright’s iconic style with high-end understated designs in two collections, Transcendence and Luxuries. The designs feature geometric lines, organic motifs, and a fusion of nature and structure.
Transcendence is a hand-knotted collection made from New Zealand wool with viscose accents and celebrates the architect’s practice of distilling the natural forms around him into their essential, underlying geometry. Luxuries, a hand-loomed collection, draws its inspiration from the rectilinear grids that Wright used as the foundation for his decorative and architectural designs. Both collections feature versatile monochromatic palettes.

for a meet and greet with designers and retailers.
Highlights from the Becki Owens x Surya collaboration were arranged in a vignette featuring the patterns from her Moab, Davey, and Gina lineups. These rugs are hand knotted of 100 percent wool or a wool and viscose mix, with neutral colors, a dense texture, and subtle geometric patterns that work in a contemporary or transitional setting.
HAND KNOTTED
The hand-knotted Sinclair collection, inspired by antique Oushak designs, showcases traditional patterns in warm color
palettes on a low-pile wool base.
Surya played up its hand-knotted expertise with even more news, this season with a range of looks for market shoppers. Sinclair is a riff on the company’s popular Once Upon a Time collection. It’s made of 100 percent wool and hand knotted with a raised, bordered pattern and a fringe.
Knotted by hand in India from wool, the Anelka collection features a luxurious low pile with intricate traditional patterning in a variety of colors.
Anelka is hand-knotted of 100 percent wool and features traditional patterns executed in a low-pile and accented with a fringe. Finesse collection is hand-knotted with a fiber content of 65 percent wool and 35 percent viscose. The cut-pile weave features a cross-hatched design with patches of erased pattern.
Surya’s Finesse collection was a hit for its transitional design, neutral palette and lush texture.
HANDMADE
The hand-tufted Rossi features an organic look with lots of contrast.
Rossi, a 100 percent wool collection is hand tufted and positioned at an affordable price point. Big contemporary shapes or broken stripes are outlined in chunky grey and black lines on a white background, ideal for customers looking for a statement rug with lots of contrast.
Additional handmade rugs from Surya include Romano, Opulence and Shivan.
Romano is a hand-loomed range in 100 percent wool with a nubby texture and a bold striped pattern.
Opulence is hand tufted of viscose and wool and offers painterly abstract motifs.
Shivan is made of recycled PET yarn and jute that’s been hand loomed in a grid design of neutrals and blues.
MACHINE MADE
Poetry by Surya is crafted of polyester with several patterns featuring soft pink undertones.
Within the machine-made constructions, Poetry is a new 100 percent polyester collection made in Turkey. Available in five patterns, some with a pink-centric color palette, the rugs have a viscose-like sheen and a subtle, semi-erased transitional pattern. Sister collection Poet is also made of 100 percent polyester. It features a variegated, tonal background with an intricate pattern rendered in white.
