NORCROSS, GA – JC Lehnen has been named creative director of Amer Rugs effective January 3, 2011, according to Monika Gupta, chief operating officer. 

In his new role, Lehnen will be responsible for leading the company in product design and development, catalogue and website production and  showroom management. "He will be the creative visionary of the company as it advances into the upcoming decade," said Gupta.   

A veteran of the home décor industry with more than 10 years of experience in wholesale, buying and inventory control, Lehnen joins Amer following positions with Jaipur Rugs and Rizzy Home, where he also served as creative director.

During his time with Rizzy and Jaipur, he received numerous graphic design and visual display awards.

His background also includes  buying  experience in rugs and home furnishings with Spiegel, Smith+Noble’s Rug Studio and Ballard Designs. His expertise in inventory control was acquired with national retailers Montgomery Ward and Sears Roebuck & Co.

“JC’s experience and passion for the rug industry through design and development make him an excellent addition to Amer as we move our growing company forward,” said Gupta. “He is well positioned to help us advance our brand awareness.”
