LAS VEGAS -- Retailers walking the Las Vegas Market can expect a show filled with everything from fashion-forward outdoor rugs to innovative new technology driven machine-made collections to skillfully crafted hand-knotted rugs this winter.

In fact, retailers will find plenty of fresh styles in value-priced rugs for inside and outdoors focused on durability and fashion. They will also have access to line extensions that make it easier to cross-merchandise products, providing a cohesive look for shoppers. And, they will find no shortage of designer licensing programs either.

New introductions illustrate popular design directions in the industry. Variegated yarns and spray dye effects play with color, a trend related to the vintage and distressed movements that remain omnipresent. Contemporary loop and pile designs or shearing are employed to add dimension to familiar motifs. A mixing of yarns and fibers are used to create another layer of interest, such as shiny paired with matte.

Coming off of a strong 2015, many rug manufacturers expect 2016 to be equally as bullish with some expanding not only staff or distribution, but also growing or adding new market showrooms in a vote of confidence.

RugNews.com presents the newest rug designs and colors in our two-part fashion guide to Las Vegas Market.
