COURISTAN NAMES WATSON TO
NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT POST |

FT. LEE, NJ -- Couristan, Inc. has appointed Kelly Watson to the newly created position of director of sourcing and product development for area rugs. She will report directly to Ron Couri, president and chief executive officer.
Watson was formerly rug buyer for Macy's West, Federated Department Stores. In her new position, Watson will be responsible for spearheading Couristan's product development and sourcing efforts for its area rug divisions.
Watson's focus will be on factory liaison, coordination of the company's foreign product development agents, research and analysis of color and design trends in the area rug industry. Additionally, Watson will concentrate on developing marketing strategies in the form of promotional sales planning and merchandising opportunities to support the company's national accounts base.
Watson is a 30-year veteran of the furniture and floor covering industries,

Established by the Couri family in 1926, Couristan imports both power-loomed and handmade area rugs, as well as broadloom for the residential and contract hospitality market.
