NEW YORK--RevitaRUGS will debut an innovative anti-microbial, anti-allergy and anti-dust mite technology to design aficionados at the Architectural Digest Design Show, held at Piers 92 and 94 in New York City from March 17-20, 2016.
The proprietary Nano coating process, which is colorless and odorless, adds to the company's growing roster of tech-infused rug services, which range from cutting-edge stain protection and custom color over-dye process, to its rug restoration and cleaning services.
An effective and safe technology, the Nano treatment, as the company is calling this new anti-microbial, anti-allergy and anti-dust mite process, will significantly eliminate dust mites and other one-cell organisms, such as mold, mildew, and bacteria, from rugs.
Dust mites are one of the leading environmental causes of in-home allergies and can exacerbate conditions such as asthma. Like bacteria and fungi, these microscopic creatures need warmth, moisture, and food (dead skin cells) to survive - and area rugs, despite regular vacuuming and cleaning, prove the ideal environment to host them.
"Revita has pioneered a way to properly apply this Nano technology to area rugs," notes Hamid Zarei, founder of Revita.
The company will give away socks treated with the new process, inviting AD Design Show attendees to wear them to the gym and place them in a sealed Ziplock baggie after a tough workout. Even after leaving the sweaty socks in a sealed baggie, Zarei says, the socks won't smell.
"Users will see the end result when the sock are treated! It is an education process and those who are keen on their health will really appreciate what we are offering."
