LOLOI HONORED WITH TWO AMERICA'S MAGNIFICENT CARPETS AWARDS

Loloi Rugs scored awards for Best Licensee and Best Machine-Made Rug ($200.01 - $400) at the 2017 America's Magnificent Carpet Awards  gala during the Atlanta International Rug Market. Loloi's Austin Craley and Amir Loloi are on stage with Kevin Malkiewicz of AmericasMart

ATLANTA -- Loloi Rugs was honored with two of the 11 awards bestowed on nine rug companies at the 2017 America's Magnificent Carpets Awards gala, held on Friday, Jan. 13 in Atlanta. The company scored in the licensing and machine-made categories at the prestigious industry event, which is held each year during the winter Atlanta International Rug Market to honor the best new designs and weaves on offer.

The Tulum rug from Loloi's partnership with Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines won Best Licensee in the 2017 America's Magnificent Carpets Awards.

Dallas-based Loloi won in the Licensee category for the Tulum collection, which is part of the Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines program.  The company also earned top honors in the machine-made rug category's $200.01 - $400 price range.

At the podium accepting the Licensee award, Amir Loloi commented: "How proud I am of our partnership with the Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines team, and how exciting it is to see this line recognized with this award.

"It was only 13 years ago at this same Atlanta market back in January 2004 that I started Loloi in a tiny little showroom tucked in a back corner of the 6th floor.  I started with only a dream, but it shows that if you have a dream and work hard, it can become a reality," Loloi said.

Indeed, the Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines licensing program has captured significant retail placement and has generated new customers for Loloi Rugs since the program's launch in 2016.

America's Magnificent Carpets Awards judges remarked that the texture in the Joanna Gaines Tulum collection rugs will 'make the look
of a room'. They also noted that the design highlights the beauty and durability of natural wool. Hand-knotted in India, Tulum designs combine timeless Moroccan styling with a soft ribbed texture.

BEST MACHINE-MADE $200.01 - $400

Austin Craley of Loloi Rugs accepts the America's Magnificent Carpets Award for the machine made rug category $200.01 - $400 from AmericasMart's Kevin Malkiewicz.

Austin Craley, vice president of sales for Loloi Rugs, accepted the company's second award of the evening, this time for the Javari collection in the category of Machine Made rugs in the $200.01 - $400 category (based on 5x8).

Craley told the audience, "I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the Loloi family, including all of our customers, our product development group and all of the members of the hardest working team in the industry."

The judges were impressed with the texture of the design, Javari, JV07 in the Steel/Sunrise colorway. Power loomed of polyester and polypropylene, the distressed all-over pattern is modernized through bold colors that judges said would enliven and transform the rugs' surroundings.
