ANDREW PEYKAR ELECTED PRESIDENT OF ORIA TRADE ASSOCIATION |
SECAUCUS, NJ -- Andrew Peykar, vice president of Nourison, has been elected president of The Oriental Rug Importers Association. He succeeds Mikel Banilevi, a principal of Aminco.
Other officers elected for 2005 are M. Abid Ilahi of Asmara, vice president; Bill Ward of Obeetee, secretary and Behrooz Hakimian of Hadji Jalili Revivals, treasurer.
The ORIA exeuctive board for 2005 includes Thomas Atiyeh of Atiyeh International, Mikel Banilevi of Aminco, Alp Basdogan of Asia Minor Imports, Dennis A. Dilmaghani of Dilmaghani & Co., Michael Harounian of Ebisons Harounian, Yeran Megerian of Megerian Bros., Reza Momeni of Momeni, Christine Moomjy of MER, Kami Navid of Jaunty, Jacob Rahmanan of Masterlooms, Keyvan Rahmanan of French Accents, Mike Riley of Oriental Weavers USA, David Samad of Samad,Paul Vesely of Ves-Levi and Arash Yaraghi of Safavieh.
The recent membership of Oriental Weavers USA reflects the first inclusion of a machine made rug importer into the Oriental Rug Importers Association.
