New York to High Point

TAYSE UNVEILS NEW YORK SHOWROOM; PREMIERES FIRST HIGH-DEF PRINTED RUGS

A painterly over-scale floral rug from Tayse's new nylon Expressions collection is printed with the company's proprietary high definition printing technology which allows unlimited color and design possibilities and fine line detail.

New York -- At the New York Home Fashions Market earlier this month, Tayse Rugs welcomed buyers to its first permanent showroom in Manhattan at the landmark Textile Building at 295 5th Ave.

Tayse's Suite 902 showcased printing innovations in two collections, Expressions and Elements, the latest additions to a rapidly growing rug assortment which now comprise 2,500 SKUs.

Jay Dogan, COO of Tayse Rugs showed an expanded assortment at the company's debuting New York City showroom in the Textile Building, including the Ambiance collection Brocade design (left) and a new Expressions collection high definition printed rug in Indigo (right).

"We've had solid appointments in New York with mass merchants, regional and national accounts, and we expect the momentum to continue to High Point and beyond," said Tayse COO Jay Dogan.  Retailers at the New York show also previewed new woven collections officially set to launch at the April 2016 High Point Market in the company's recently quadrupled space, IHFC Main M-433.

"Our new printing technology allows us to manufacture photo-quality designs in great detail that are very affordable: the MSRP is $249 for a 5x7," Dogan told RugNews.com. "Our new Expressions high definition printed collection is the introductory line for this new printing process, which allows us to print an unlimited number of colors -- any color imaginable with crisp, fine line detail.  We are excited because the possibilities for designs are also unlimited," he explained.

An Expressions collection rug in indigo blue recreates the distressed designer look of over-dyed vintage Oriental carpets using Tayse Rugs' new high definition printing technology.

Dogan said he is not aware of anyone else in the industry currently using ink jet equipment similar to Tayse's. "The technology is proprietary and it is very advanced."  Expressions rugs are machine woven of soft nylon for lasting color, and range from over-scale contemporary florals to designs replicating the destressing and abrash of overdyed vintage Persian rugs. The rugs come with a gel backing.

Set to launch at High Point Market is Tayse Rugs' new Kensington collection with classic Oriental styling.  The line is machine woven of polypropylene frieze yarn in updated tranquil colors.

Another debuting printed collection, Elements, offers standard printing on machine woven nylon.
Tayse will also present its new Kensington collection in High Point, a range which updates classic Oriental designs with a frieze polypropylene yarn for surface interest and soft fashion shades of ivory, aqua, gray, indigo and gold.  MSRP for Kensington is $249 in 5x7.

Also to be featured at market is the Cambridge collection, made with a raised viscose chenille pattern on flat woven background, creating two yarn heights for depth and texture. Machine made in Turkey from polypropylene yarn with cotton backing, Cambridge has an MSRP is $329 for 5x8.

The Cambridge collection from Tayse, shown in the full rug above and detail below is crafted with a raised viscose chenille pattern on a flat-woven ground for two levels of texture.

Other recent collections include: Ambiance, an erased vintage line with cotton backing for added softness and pliability; Avon, a machine-made range of polypropylene, which features an assortment of abstract and detailed designs in saturated hues; Bristol, which is marked by classic Oriental rug motifs in updated colors, and the over-saturated classic designs of the Infinity collections.

In addition to the Manhattan showroom, Tayse opened a new and larger showroom in High Point in October, 2015, and its first permanent showroom at Las Vegas Market in January, 2016. Tayse celebrated its 11th anniversary in March, 2016 and is currently expanding its 56,000-square-foot distribution facility and company headquarters in Calhoun, GA to 150,000 square feet as reported by RugNews.com.
