NEW YORK – Rugs America, in partnership with actress and designer Jane Seymour, will introduce the new Jane Seymour Home collection of area rugs at the upcoming Atlanta International Area Rug Market, January 17 to January 20, 2008 at Americasmart.

The premiere of the Jane Seymour collection will be a year-long introduction of traditional, contemporary and transitional motifs inspired by her art and family-centered lifestyle, according to Rugs America. The collection is designed to complement and merchandise with existing Jane Seymour Home products or as a stand-alone purchase.

“The Jane Seymour Home collection is an established brand with a proven track record of success in several home categories,” said Aaron Hakimian, vice president of Rugs America. “Our company has eyed the Jane Seymour brand since its initial launch with department and furniture stores, and looks forward to representing the brand in the rug category.”

Two Jane Seymour rug collections will be introduced in January.

The Coral Canyon collection, inspired by Jane Seymour’s casual, easy, comfortable lifestyle of the pacific coastline.  Hand-knotted in double-washed premium wool.  Nine designs will be available in seven sizes representing 63. They will retail for $899 in  5x8.

The Grand Hotel collection is inspired by the resort on Mackinac Island in Northern Michigan where Seymour filmed her romantic movie “Somewhere In Time.”  The collection of nine designs are hand tufted in premium high count wool yarns and consists of six sizes representing 54 skus. The 5x8 will retail for $499.

 Looking ahead, the St. Catherine’s Court and Winding Way collections will debut during the Atlanta International Area Rug Market July 13 to July 16, 2008.
