LOS ANGELES -- The Rug Market America, designer and manufacturer of contemporary, youth and resort rug collections, announces the kickoff of its 30th anniversary year celebration during the spring 2016 High Point Market.

The company, which was founded by Michael Shabtai in 1986, was originally a specialty scatter rug designer and manufacturer and an offshoot of a family floor covering retail operation.  Today the company, which is headquartered in Los Angeles, encompasses multiple rug and decorative accessory divisions.  Shabati's sons, Aaron and Andrew, now hold executive positions within the company and its associated divisions.

"The beginnings of The Rug Market America involved my father capitalizing on a void that existed in the floor covering industry for creative contemporary designs," said Andrew Shabtai, president, The Rug Market America. "Over the company's thirty year history, The Rug Market America has been recognized for delivering unique and colorful designs that incorporate a major element of fashion at an affordable price."

During High Point Market, buyers at The Rug Market America's showroom in Suites at Market Square, Showroom M-1000A, will be eligible to receive a 30 percent discount on any orders placed at the market. On display will be dozens of new product introductions within the company's home, youth and resort rug collections.

New designs to be introduced at market include colorful and contemporary motifs in wool and silk blends, such as Illusion, Aubergine, and Fracture Brights, each full of color and modern art-inspired.
