S&H RETURNS TO NY NOW AND RUG SHOW AT JAVITS, FEATURES NEW DESIGNS, IMPROVED CAPABILITIES

S&H Rugs debuts its made in Nepal Natural Abstract collection at NY Now and the Rug Show at Javits. Shown, design SH36355.

NEW YORK -- S&H Rugs heads to two major New York design events with a new collection of modern designs, new colors and patterns, and improved lead times on special orders.

"We are now more than ever ready to service and support new and existing clients putting emphasis on special orders and new colors and designs," Ori Wilbush, president of the New York area rug importer, told RugNews.com. "We've got a group of trained graphic designers and a weaving team overseas that only focuses on special and custom orders. We can now complete and deliver up to 10x14 sizes with most qualities within 90 days."

S&H is participating in the upcoming NY Now, running from Aug. 19-23, at booth #2068. The company will also participate in the Rug Show at Javits, held from Sept. 10-13.

"New York -- and the Northeast -- is our home and we are happier to exhibit here versus elsewhere," Wilbush noted. "I expect both shows to be very beneficial for both exhibitors and industry partners, buyers. The Rug Show is an up and coming event that just keeps gaining momentum every year thanks to [organizer] Ramin Mobayen and his supporters and we very happy to be part of it."

S&H is looking forward to the last quarter of 2017, the company's strongest historically. This year is outperforming 2016 and Wilbush attributed the improvement to the company's latest colors and designs, as we as better U.S. economic reports.

"Modern and contemporary design keeps on gaining more and more ground and we are just going to see more developments of it," he continued. "Geometric and tribal designs are doing great too with up to date colors. And, hand-knotted rugs with oxidized wool are doing really well now. It's all about colors and we are still going strong with combinations grays, blues and greens."

The latest collection from S&H is the new hand-knotted Natural Abstract collection, crafted of undyed hand-spun wool by Nepali weavers. The designs feature 100 knots per square inch and incorporate a cut and loop technique.
